just works.. I screw it to the board and used the Milwaukee m18 trim router.. board does need to be big enough, otherwise you need a router table. But make sure your router bit is in TIGHT.. mine slipped and ate the 15 deg corner template... ooopps.. Bought another set.. had to finish the project.My board was 3.5" wide, and the small one had plenty of room. small 1/4 screw, small pilot hole, just snug the screws down, and it holds well enough.

I just bought these and used them for the first time. I bought them because of their aluminum design. Although I like all the options on the corners, I’m really disappointed on the screws that hold the guides in place. The vibration from the routing causes them to loosen up during the process and the guide won’t stay on. I ruined my 40 degree corner already because of it. I may look for a different style. I can’t really say if I would recommend this one or not. I’m a little disappointed.
