This router template works great and is thick enough to do the job easily.

I ordered this to use for inlays in certain wood products (like fish cleaning boards or beach-themed pieces). I was disappointed that the 2 pieces are not the same size. There is no documentation on how to use this for inlays. If both the inner and outer piece were the same size, you could use a flush trim bit for both the recess and the inlay. But since the inner piece is smaller, you would need to either use a guide bushing with a smaller router bit or a "flush trim" bit with a larger bearing. There is no guarantee that you would find a combination that works successfully. If this truly can be used for inlays, there need to be some clear instructions.
