Rough Country’s Forged Upper Control Arms feature a solid, 1-piece design made of forged aluminum for superior strength and durability. This forged design outperforms all other types of arm construction, with no welding weak spots that could bend or break.
High Strength Ball Joints. Rough Country’s Forged Upper Control Arms use POM ball joints which reduces metal-to-metal contact for less maintenance and longer service life versus standard or OE replacements. These Ball joints feature a POM ball race for an extremely low co-efficient of friction and an oversize ball diameter reduces load and improves range of motion in a fully greaseable design. Rough Country’s Forged Upper Control Arms also feature durable rubber bushings rubber bushings for superior quality and durability.
Installation. Featuring a 100% bolt-on installation process, an estimated timeframe of 3-4 hours is recommended to complete this full installation. This full kit can be installed at home and can be completed efficiently and quickly!

This product is specifically designed to fit models with a 2.5-3.5-inch suspension lift kit, as well as those equipped with Rough Country's 7.5" knuckle kit or 7" bracket kit. It is not compatible with stock height models, 2007 "Classic" models (old body style), or models with Rough Country's 3.5-inch lifted knuckle kit, 5-inch, or 6-inch suspension lift kits. Compatible with a wide range of Chevy and GMC models. For Chevy, it fits the 2019 Silverado 1500 LD (4WD and RWD), 2016–2018 Suburban (RWD), 2015–2018 Suburban (4WD), 2007–2018 Tahoe (4WD and RWD), 2007–2018 Silverado 1500 (4WD and RWD), and 2007–2014 Suburban 1500 (4WD and RWD). So I’ve had these control arms installed on my truck for almost a year now. They’ve been great combined with the 3.5” lift struts, but the dust shields for the ball joints started to wear and rip recently, causing noise in my suspension. Upon calling customer service, they asked a few questions about my order and immediately shipped new ball joints to press in and replace the worn out ones, as well as new bushings.I’ve had Moog, ACdelco, and other popular premium parts, but no one stands by their products and has the customer service like Rough Country does. I recommend their products for anyone considering lifting their trucks. Truly great company and product!

I would have loved to try these control arms, but the ball joint boots basically disintegrated on install, there are no boots I can find to replace them with. I am not gambling with a whole ball joint replacement for $40 a piece just to watch the boots fall apart again.For the money spent in these I would expect better quality parts but these are made of junk and are not repair friendly.

I was wary based on the reviews mentioning the rubber boots being torn, but mine came in very quick and in perfect shape, ready to go. Install was smooth and easy on my 07 Chevy 1500 with the Rough Country 2.5” lift I already had, and ball joint angle is now perfect. Can’t go wrong with these, the plastic cap pops off and there’s a grease nipple under it to grease the ball joint. Very happy, easy install, looks good, works good, hope it lasts better than stock. I think this is a must for the 2.5-3.5” lifts offered by Rough Country

Well made . Pretty easy to install. Most disappointing thing was even if you want to use the OEM wheels and tires you still either have to buy offset rims or spacers. I like the rims on my 2015 High Country and was just hoping I could still use them without rubbing. I am not a big fan of spacers for when the stock tires. I pulled them back off and went another direction. I will keep them if I put new rims on the truck.

When your stock ball joints give up you really should consider these. They are truly essential on lifted trucks that are still using the factory stamped steel or aluminum control arms. They are twice as thick as the factory aluminum ones and 3 times that of the stamped steel ones. The ball joints pocket and boss are canted to return the ball joint to its factory angle. Great job RC!

Been meaning to upgrade my truck for a while but working as a tech for heavy duty commercial trucks and equipment, tools and bills came first. After doing a lot of research everyone said the same thing if you have a lift on your truck get upper control arms for lifted applications. Glad I did my truck is lifted 3.5 and replaced with new components shocks, lift kit, new bushings etc. Was going to do side by side and show case before and after but there’s already a lot of pictures like that on reviews. (Goes to show they are that nice). Got the RCs over the Wulf ones. (My lift kit is a Wulf) because they are more common. In case I need replacement parts or need to replace UCA as a whole. Wulf didn’t have any in stock at moment of purchase and didn’t want to be stuck with a UCA that was potentially no longer in stock or no longer made. Install is easy in case you didn’t notice there is a left and right side reusing OE hardware and brackets all fit and lined up there is a kit for extended brake lines for those with bigger lifts but I’m not that lifted so I didn’t get one I checked for clearance and I cleared. There’s no rubbing no binding at full lock. From 265 65 18 to 285 65 18 Cooper STT Pro on Fuels. Truck rides like new like when I first got my truck at the dealership. 13 Silverado Z71 first owner.
