We have a circular brick fire pit. We just put this across the top of it and it is perfect for grilling. We also used a grill pan on top of it. Very sturdy.

This grate cleans easily, and it's the perfect size to fit over a standard fire ring. I've already cooked several meals directly on the grate, and it's come perfectly clean with soap and a scrub sponge.

Preheated this bad boi in the flames of a GreatFire to ensure its sturdiness. Results were pleasing snd the grate has not disappointed. Going on season 2 and it is a cooking champ.

I was looking for a camping grate I could cook directly on without having to burn the paint off of before using it, and one that would fit across a typical state park camping ring... I FOUND IT! This is it. Pictured you will see i used kindling wood just for extra support but it does reach across on its own. This took our camping cooking up a notch. I cooked steaks & corn directly on this bad boy and it was absolutely perfect. I am so glad I hunted this down and did not settle. It is sturdy too, pictured you will see my 8lb cast iron skillet sitting perfectly on the grate, it didn't even bend at all from the weight. I had the skillet and a coffee perc (9 cups) filled on this thing and it was perfectly fine. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this for back road camping cookouts. It fits across any reasonably sized rock fire pit or even the campground fire pits if necessary. Cools off fast and looks super sturdy. Great size. Just returned from a camp trip where we grilled chicken, steaks and hobo packets of veggies. YUM! Will be using this as long as it lasts.

I built a homemade smoker for smoking my own bbq and needed 3 racks. After much research I settled on buying 3 of these and after 2 and a half years of HEAVY use, I couldnt be happierTHE GOODThese things are VERY durable. I have probably smoked 50-100 meals on these racks, ranging from 3hrs continuous cook time to 20 hrs. I have left cook residue (fat/grease/meat/soot) stuck on them by accident multiple times and embarrassingly for very long stretches of time (one rack I left out in the snow and forgot about it for 3months!) and none of them have developed even a speck of corrosion. I have abused them and they still clean up to near new!THE BADThey flex under heavy weight..... but never bend or warp in anyway at all where you would have to bend them back, they alway spring back to normal after the meat is removed. (25lb turkey sat on the center of one rack without issue) although I guess this is a positive for durablility, I would prefer no flex. Still, it's a minor issue for me.They can be a pain in the butt to clean, although I would imagine any non-stick type would be. I've recently found a wire grill brush with water and soap to be the best way to clean them. I haven't used this method for very long though and i dont know if the scratching will eventually wear away at the chrome plating and eventually cause rust, we'll see.Overall I feel like I've already gotten my money's worth and then some. I would definitely recommend them unless you need grills that are non-stick, or are grilling very large heavy cuts of meat and can't accept any flex.

We often cook over a fire pit shoveled out of the ground. I was having difficulty finding a grill that would span a larger diameter hole. This grill does a splendid job. It is thick enough to support the weight of several pots and pans, while suspended over the fire with only several inches of the ends on the ground. And since it is rectangular, instead of circular, I have space to easily feed small sticks to get the fire to flare up.It isn't a thick, heavy grill, so I wait until the fire has burned down a bit before putting it over the flames. I don't want to weaken it. If it were heavier, I would give it 5 stars, but then it would also be much more expensive.
