I had high hopes for this but it warps to about a 20 degree angle when heated and doesn't straighten out. Could have done as well with a cheap baking sheet from DG.

So, I've been using this for a while now. Probably the first impression I formed was when I carefully read through the enclosed directions. There was a list of "do's" and "don'ts" many of which, as a chef, were completely out of phase for me. For one, they want you to *not* preheat the grate with the grill. Well, say goodbye to sizzling fajitas and welcome to a soggy limp mess. You must first preheat your grill and meanwhile, place your cold veggies on the grate after spraying it with spray cooking oil (more on this mistake #2 later). Then, place the whole assembly on the grill. This is no way is how to grill fajitas. Not even close. The stuff has to go on a searing *hot* grill or surface. Basically, that's the way to grill anything ...its a *grill*! The reasoning behind this is the claim that the grate will not warp like others. I'm here to tell you, even following the directions, the grate does indeed warp. I used a caliper and found the thickness to be about 1 mm (it measures thicker at the edges due to the ceramic coating pooling there, but not substantially), and 1 mm flat metal is going to warp. Not that big of a deal to me, frankly, and to its credit, the grate did flatten out when it cooled off and does not stay warped. I grilled a whole red snapper on it, using the same cold grate method (which as a chef, makes me cringe, but I did it anyway). Warped up like well over 3 cm (about inch and a quarter but came back flat after it cooled. If you want one of these things to not warp, I recommend you get one of the cast iron grill toppers. I don't like to cook with any non-stick coating due to the health aspects of heating *any* non-stick coating at high temps (regardless of their labelling of being pfoa or pfe free). All of the cookware you see out there that's coated all say to not heat above 500 or 600 F ...for a reason. The other advantage of the cast iron is that you can heat it way hot, no problem. And it absolutely will not warp. I may try the heavy stainless-steel ones, maybe they won't warp, but they will stick, if you don't know how to cook on them (that's a chef trick which is beyond the scope of this review). Now, let's get to this spray oil business. Do yourself a favor ... take the spray oil ... and throw it in the trash. Do it now. Spray oil has no business in a kitchen, its best location is right there on the store shelf where you found it. The instructions say to do this ...and so I did. I had some spray oil I used to use to lube the grill grates (which I will never do again ...what a gummy mess that leaves). The result, predictably, is that the grate was coated in a greasy sticky coating. So, I did as the instructions said and threw it in the dishwasher. Huge mistake. What came out was a surface dotted with gummy deposits. I then followed the directions to use a "little" elbow grease and some non-abrasive cleaner and a nylon scrub pad. A half out later of this elbow grease business and using Bon Ami, then Bar Tender's friend ...some of the deposits were removed, but it was hardly free of them. I continued to use it like this, but it's annoying not to be able to get that stuff off.If you use this, or any of the porcelain-coated grate toppers, I will strongly suggest you use a light coating of flax seed oil applied with a small towel. That's what I use to season my cast iron cookware, and my grill grates ... no sticky mess and it leaves a teflon-like almost-non-stick coating.I'm not giving this an all-around totally negative review, as it pretty much does what the manufacturer says, I mean it does keep the veggies from falling down into your grill. And even though it may warp, it comes back to flat after cooling. Your mileage may vary, but for me, I think a cast iron version or maybe a thicker stainless-steel version is in my future.

It works great to keep the grilled flavor yet keeps the black grill debris off our food. Takes a bit of elbow grease to get it clean but I feel like its worth it!

Not too sure how well it will last. Got a bit crusty on first use.

Works as intended. Grills evenly. Great for vegetables or other pesky little foodstuffs that would otherwise try and slip through the grates.
