And I wanted a couple of small pads for splashes and stacks. I threw a couple of these on there and it started to feel like my acoustic kit.Check your connections and mounted brackets you have before buying. Psa

The mesh pads are a great upgrade to my Roland TD-4 kit! Feels way better than the stock PD-8 pads. Glad I came across Drums by DjPill

I got this to replace the snare pad on my KAT KT4 e-drum kit. Installation was Plug & play - no problems whatsoever - no adjustment on the KT4 module was needed (but some judicious "tweaking" did make a difference. I wasn't sure at first if I'd keep it, as it felt so different from the rubber pad that came with the KT4. It took a little time to get accustomed to the softer, more lively "fee;", but overall, a big improvement. Buzz rolls, drags and overall dynamics (i.e. lighter hits) are much better than the original pad (which wasn't horrible in itself). The rim is far superior in sensitivity and linear response around its circumference, and rimshots sound much better. The 2-way mount went right on my KAT rack. It's slightly smaller in diameter than the KAT pad (10" vs 11"), but that's a non-issue. Give it a try/

Solid, good value pad. I needed to adjust the settings in my SPD-SX because this is placed close to my acoustic snare and found that this was being triggered by loud acoustic snare rimshots. I tried x-talk and other adjustments, but found that the threshold settings did the job. Love this pad!

So I've been experimenting with this pad and I have to say I love it so far. I have the Roland TD-11KV kit using the TD-25 module. I wanted a larger snare so I got this and used the PDX-8 pad that came with my kit as a fourth tom which worked out perfectly for me. The TD-25 module has two extra trigger inputs which made this possible. The feel of this pad is great! It has a really nice bounce to it. The PDX-8 pad is only two inches smaller and it worked great as a snare, but those extra two inches on this pad made a huge difference. I found that I don't hit the rim by accident as much. I'm still a huge fan of the PDX-6 and PDX-8 pads that came with my kit though. They're great pads as well. Now for the "hotspot" issue. I did a lot of research online about this and it was the only thing holding me back from buying it. I decided to get it anyway and I can tell you that there is a hotspot on this pad. However, this really boils down to how picky you are. For what it's worth, I'm SUPER picky about my snare drum and this really isn't a big deal friends.I did multiple tests on this and I found it was actually pretty rare that I hit it. This pad has a 10" head and if you position it right you won't have any issues. I have it positioned so that I'm mainly hitting it 2-1/2-3" from the rim which avoids hitting the hotspot anyway, and when I do hit it it's not that noticeable. Again, just my opinion. Hope this helps!

Excellent drum head has the feel of a real snare. The sensitivity is very good even to the lightest touch or hitting it extremely hard. Best thing about this drum head is the rim shots something you dont normally find with electronic drums. Plus the rim shots take on th character of what ever snare it is set too. Overall excellent product by Roland and once again you cannot go wrong with quality of Roland.

Using this on a TD-12KV I picked up a few years ago and am very pleased with my purchase.I was on the fence for a few years about adding one more trigger to my kit, mainly due to the price of procurement. The PD-85, PD-105 and PD-125 are vastly more expensive. This is essentially a PD-105 with a slimmer shell and different mounting bracket with a 45% discount on cost. It is also more affordable than the smaller, and similarly designed PD-85.Build quality is excellent as is responsiveness. Be mindful that the unit does not come with a mounting bracket. An MDH-12 can be purchased separately.
