If the nut of a product needs to be installed outside, and inside the space is narrow, can not let the pressure riveting machine's press head into the pressure riveting and budging and other methods can not achieve the strength requirements, then the pressure riveting and riveting are not feasible. Must use riveting. Applicable to all thicknesses of plates, tubes (0.5MM-6MM) fastening field. The use of pneumatic or manual rivet gun can be a riveting, convenient and firm; instead of the traditional welding nut, to make up for the thin metal plate, thin tube welding easy to melt, welding nut is not smooth and so on.

Rivet nuts look OK, packaging was horrible and I got a broken contain with a bag full of mixed rivet nuts I have been sorting through...... I suggest either better padding your packages or just throw everything into a bag and advertise it as a mix bag of crap. Have a nice day!

I have used a bunch of these now and have yet to experience a misfire. While I have not used all the sizes, I tried them with my thread checker and they all seemed to be spot on to the size they say they are. As with most of these sets, it could use a better case, but that is not a deal breaker.

I've done all kinds of wood joinery, including biscuits, dowels, pocket holes, mortise and tenon, etc. It's a lot of work to do some kinds of attachments -- like legs or supports for a table or stand. What I like best about rivet nuts is that I can use standard machine screws for attachment, and can remove and replace them, or disassemble the parts, easily. Wood screws are more likely to damage the wood from removal and replacement, or overdriving, something that doesn't happen with machine screws and rivet nuts. The Ktehloy Rivet Nut Kit has a fantastic assortment of sizes, both SAE and metric. From 6-32 to 3/8", and M3-M10, they're great for delicate items as well as big substantial attachments. You only need to drill the proper size hole and insert the rivet nut. It's one of the easiest fastening methods I've ever used.

I actually got these by mistake, but I have use something similar years ago. However, you need to have a special tool to use these rivets. These rivet nuts come in handy if you are a DIY person. Any time you need to attach to something with a bolt to an object where you can't get access to the other side to put on a nut. These are especially nice if the part you are attaching to is not thick enough to drill and tap. You just drill a hole in the object you want to attach to and use one of these rivets. However the thickness of piece you are attaching to will depend on the length of the rivet used.
