This stand was fine in the fall - roomy/quiet. But as the temps dropped into the winter the stand became loud and squeaky (even popping at times). Any shift in weight produced game alerting sounds. It became virtually unusable as temps dropped. I had the same issue with my previous Rivers Edge stand, and I thought it was an anomaly, but it appears to be universal design issue with Rivers Edge.If you are using these stands just in the Fall before winter sets in and temps drop, you will probably be OK. Otherwise I would avoid this brand, and look elsewhere.

I bought this as a replacement for a stand that rusted out on me. This one is amazingly comfortable to sit with the large platform and the foot rest.

Has got to be the most uncomfortable tree stand seat I have ever sat on. I’m 6’4 at 275lb it was stable once in the tree with 15+mph winds.

I put this stand together about 30 minutes ago.I happened to measure the platform and it is really a 30”x 24” (not a 36.5”).If you measure from the tree to the tip of the foot rest, then it is 36.5”. But, 6” of that you cant even stand on. Bad item size description!I measured another stand by another company and their advertised platform sizes are actually correct to what the stand really is.I give one star because I bought this stand wanting a large platform. This platform is not large and not what they say it measures , not even close!!

It seems to be very well built, it’s not too heavy, but if you plan to do a hang and hunt, carrying everything can be a burden. My only problem with it is the seat. The seat is a little high compared to what I would like, instead on my legs coming off the seat parallel to the platform, they go down at an angle. So for an average height person, this may be an issue. But if you’re a little bit taller, maybe 6’1+ you would be completely fine. The other problem with the seat is that without the cushion, it isn’t even a seat. There is a very large gap in the seat that would be extremely uncomfortable to sit on for anybody. So if you plan to hunt, and there is rain in the forecast, make sure to take the cushion inside so it doesn’t get wet since you can’t really take it off
