Bought this for my van but didn't work. Sitting in my dining room it wouldn't point the right direction. I had it too long so I couldn't return it. Still sitting on my sideboard pointing the wrong direction...

Compass card stability is excellent for an inexpensive compass. Unit needs to have none magnetic screws and some mounting options supplied. Works well.

It works very well on the streets but not well on interstate. However it'd better than my former compass.Great design and a good size.

Nice compass, nice color, easy to read. I just wish the light was battery instead of hard wired. I have it on my dash and it would be extremely difficult to wire neatly from where it’s mounted.

The product itself is pretty much as expected however the reseller process was less than stellar. Atlantic Boat Supply was indicated as the reseller however the shipper was apparently Jamestown Distributors. Regardless, the item was simply tossed in an oversize box with a scrap of packing paper which left it free to bounce around at will. Fortunately, the manufacturer used clamshell packaging which apparently protected the product fairly well as the compass seems to function normally. I also paid for "Standard Shipping (3 - 5 business days)" which implies UPS or FedEx Ground. Instead the item was shipped to the Post Office for final delivery to me. I am becoming increasingly annoyed with the use of Surepost or Smartpost, especially when I pay for "standard" shipping, as there is no way these modes of shipping are comparable to "standard" UPS or FedEx Ground.
