This tool works as advertised. I needed a small 90 degree screwdriver to install mudflaps on my car WITHOUT having to take off the tires and this tool did the trick. I had a 2 1/2" gap between the tire and the wheel well frame and this tool enabled me to screw the mudflaps to the wheel well frame with the use of a standard drill and 1/2" phillips-head screws. The tool even came with a phillips head drill bit attached to it. I would highly recommend this product to ANY homeowner or handyman.

I used this to drive screws into a lean to shed roof that was underneath an existing roof eave. Worked perfectly. Handled the torque with no problem. This is one of those things to have around, just in case.

When I first received this I tried to turn it by hand to see how smooth the gear train was. It felt pretty rough so I decided to take it apart and see if there was a problem. On the surface behind the the driven gear (large one) that the gear rides on there are small raised areas only a few thousands high. They may be there to reduce the surface area of contact and prevent galling at high speed and I believe they are the reason for the roughness when turning it by hand. In any event I chalked it up to a legitimate design feature and the cause of the "notchy" feeling when turning it by hand. While it was apart I added a small amount of wheel bearing grease but it did not change the feeling. The large gear actually runs on a ball bearing which is a good thing and in actual operation the devise is very smooth. I was able to sink a 1 1/2" #8 screw in a 2 X 4 with ease using an impact driver for power. So based on actually using it it felt much better than I expected. It is only 1 1/4" thick (plus your bit and screw of course) so it will get into much smaller areas than the beast of the Bosch right angle driver it was being compared to and this will certainly come in handy. Overall I think it's a good quality devise especially at it's price point. The fact that the bevel gear was running on bearings rather than bushings was a pleasant surprise and should enhance the reliability. Time will tell. Certainly recommended for homeowner if not professional use.

This drill attachment allowed me to remove one of the most difficult broken bolts in my mechanical career. I had only 2 1/2 inches of space to work with. The bolt was broken off below the surface. The angle of the drill attachment allowed me to access it with ease. I know it's not an industrial right angle drill but for the price you could not ask for anything better.
