I recently installed the Rhino Shelf Universal Garage Storage Kit, and I have to say, it’s truly a top-notch product! These shelves are incredibly strong and secure—so much so that you can literally do pull-ups on them without worrying about stability. The shelves offer a spacious 24-inch depth, making it easy to store even larger items without hassle. I’ve tried a lot of storage solutions over the years, but nothing compares to the strength and durability of these shelves. The only downside, in my opinion, is the price. While the design is simple and straightforward, there’s definitely a significant markup on the product. It feels overpriced for what you get, especially considering the basic design. That said, there's no questioning the quality—they are built to last and really are an excellent long-term investment for garage organization. Overall, five stars for durability and function!

No complaints here. It takes slight a bit of work, but it's still easy to install these in your garage. Once they're up they are very sturdy and can certainly take a ton of things off your garage floor and get them out of the way. Very good quality product, good set of instructions and hardware as well.

On the plus side, the Rhino Shelve Hardware is well engineered. Assembly was easy. The instructions are somewhat overkill for anyone who has put up shelves before. But, OK. Once installed, the shelves look great and are very sturdy. On the minus side, they are a little pricey. But, I appreciate being able to select my own lumber to control the total cost. Finally, the kit would have been better if steel flat washers were included. The steel lag bolts dig into the wall brackets when tightened. They are probably secure enough, but I would always use washers in such applications to better spread out the load. Also, the tolerances on the center T brackets, used when connecting 4 ft sections, are a little tight. I had too drill one of the holes to get the second vertical machine bolt through both brackets. No big deal since the brackets are aluminum.

It did take some work to put it up but I was able to do it on my own. They are very sturdy and fit everything up there. They align well and look pretty sharp. I painted the wood white and I think it looks a little better. A little on the pricey side but I highly recommend it.

At first I was put off by the high price, but need a sturdy solution. Watching my 8 year do pull-ups from the shelf after it was installed and it didn’t budge at all! Incredibly sturdy and relatively easy to install! Worth every penny if you ask me!

For the price I paid, I'd never have bought this if I knew it didn't come with the wooden slats.Seriously there are other systems that come with metal slats, I should have bought those. The instructions are worse than ikea instructions, and so confusing and a pain to understand. The tools needed.... well I had to by a socket set, but the 3 different sized sockets needed, don't come in the same kit. So I have to buy 2 different kits. Why don't you just include the tools in the kit, ikea does that and makes it so much easier to do.For the price you're charging, including the sockets would justify that.I didn't see the part of no wood included, I didn't scroll ALL the way to the bottom, so that's my bad, but dang, I had to spend another $30 on wood for each system and I bought 4 systems.Seriously, never never going to buy another system from them ever again. Not worth it!I'd give zero stars if I could, but doesn't allow me to.If you're a serious DIY'er or construction person that has all the tools in the world, maybe you'd want to take on the challenge. But otherwise, if you're just a normal 'Joe' who wants to put shelving up to make space in your garage, this system becomes more expensive than all the others and a painful and confusing experience with their instructions.

We moved to our home about 3 years ago and I decided that this winter (in Maine) we were going to actually use the garage for our CARS! I did lots of research on different kinds of garage storage. I decided to install these Rhino Shelves for the 24 foot long back wall. I liked that 1) the shelves suspend from the studs instead of the ceiling joists because the ceiling joists in my garage run parallel to the back wall, which would have put all the load of ceiling-suspended shelving on the same two joists; 2) stud spacing doesn't need to be 16" on center (our garage was intended to be 16" OC but the builders must have had apprentices on site that day because the studs are off by as much as 1 inch in some cases); 3) the shelves are 33" deep which allows storing the 27 gallon totes on their short end; and 4) the shelves can be installed as high as your ceiling accommodates - in my case our garage ceiling is 10' and we were able to hang the shelves 7 ft + above the garage floor which allowed room for a workbench, additional storage shelves and 4 wall-mounted adult bicycles, all under the Rhino shelves. Cutting the 2x4's is easy after the metal frame is up - just measure distance between hangers along the back wall and cut 5 identical pieces of 2x4 for that section. I recommend an extra person to help with screwing in the boards - a second pair of hands helps to hold the board & hanger in place while the other drills hole and screws the nail into the 2x4 from bottom of the hanger - this will require use of two ladders. I would definitely buy again if I ever moved to another house. My husband thinks this shelving is going to add to resale value of our house. I really like the uniform look of the storage bins sitting on top of airy 2x4's. BTW, we found the best deal on these black totes at Sam's Club.
