I have purchased many GarageWorks cabinets, shelves, and hooks over the years. The system is pretty awesome in my opinion and has really held up well over the years. This shelf is used to rest my extra dirty shoes (muddy hiking boots, rubber boots, etc.) as the mud and water just fall off. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought a couple of these to put under the 24 inch welded wall cabinet thinking I could store a couple of power tool boxes on them but they turned out to be too flexible for this purpose. I'm disappointed as I thought they would be rigid and unbending. If you are looking to put something lightweight on them or if you need an open shelf these shelves would fit the bill otherwise choose a solid shelf. The shelf is well-made and finished which is something in its favor

I bought a pair of these at Lowes. Both shelves slope downwards slightly, even when unloaded - you can actually see that the bracket sits at a slight angle, and it only gets worse with weight. A little vibration - say, from putting something else on the shelf, or adjusting another hook on the same wall - and anything on the shelf with a smooth bottom will migrate away from the wall. As a result, two small plastic bins I had on one shelf fell, broke, and sent their contents across the garage.I tried to see if one could at least hold a tool case for a socket set, but it literally starts sliding down the moment I placed it there.Their GearLoft shelves and the rest of their hooks are high quality, but for some reason they decided to phone this one in. I'd try to bend it so that the shelf tilted items *towards* the wall, but I don't think the spot welds could actually withstand that - look closely at it and you'll see what I mean; EVERYTHING is welded so there's no safe way to bend it.A non-slip mat helps a lot, but I would still be wary of top-heavy items. I'm probably going to keep the two I have specifically for some items that can handle a fall from their height. I went back to the store and ALL of these shelves are angled the same way, which is baffling.
