This is a lifesaver, better than trying to get a grinder in a tight place for a shower valve or copper lines in a metal stud. Well worth the money.

I used this tool to cut a hole in aluminum sheet. Easy to use/guide around curves.

I build screen rooms and patio covers professionally. I bought this to cut holes in rain gutters to install downspouts. Not just the thin gutters like on a house but also thick rigid aluminum gutters that are sometimes used on patio covers and screen rooms. Not sure of the thickness but it barely fits into the opening on this tool. Probably thicker than the tool is rated for. This tool has been a game changer as it's faster, safer to use AND makes a better opening than other methods I've used. No more sharp edges for the customer to cut themselves on when cleaning the gutters! When I work with other guys they look as it like a toy until they see how quickly and cleanly I complete the task. After that they want to know where I got it!I've used it a lot and it's held up very well. I did break one of the heads when I first got it but I was cutting the heavy aluminum and twisted it in a way that broke it. It was my fault and hasn't happened again since I got the hang of it. I've cut a lot of that material and it eats it up. Thankfully it comes with spare parts.Once you get the hang of it you can cut all sorts of curves and shapes pretty easily. Some things I've learned:It works great with an impact driver. I think better than a drill. I only use it with an impact driver with the quick release. I use the same driver for the included drill bit and the cutting tool. swapping between them is very quick. The cutting tip gets HOT with thick material. Hot enough to raise a blister if you touch it after cutting. This was with material that was probably too thick. If I'm cutting a lot of thick material I switch between heads to let one cool off. It still eats up that thick material easily.A little oil on each tip before every use helps keep it running smooth and not as hot. It also keeps the cut material from sticking and clogging. It does eject small sharp pieces of material as it's cutting. It doesn't throw them around but if you're using it above your head like I do you need safety glasses.Bottom line. I use it on every job I do and it has held up very well. If it were to break I would pull out my phone and order another one on the spot.

Thus far I've cut about 60 running feet of sheet metal off my dead refrigerator, to save for car restoration patch panels. It moved right through it, old '70s steel too.Comes with a second cutter rod, but shows no signs of slowing down on the first end of the first rod so far. A nicely put-together package all in all.But I dropped it on the floor and the handle broke right off. Leaving the other end of the cutter rod exposed where you're supposed to be holding it.I contacted the seller (service@rexbetitools.com) asking for replacements and you cannot get any. Which includes the "consumable" cutter rods and anvils as well. After my refrigerator cutting I find the first end of the rod has gotten to struggling. That now leaves me with 3/4 of service life remaining. And no handle. So beware that you're buying a tool with zero support and a finite service life.I had given it 5 stars but with the zero support now I am demoting it. It works. Just don't expect it to, indefinitely (and less, if you drop it). They really shouldn't call themselves "service@". Totally unhelpful. Would not even let me know the real manufacturer (there's versions of this around) to go ask for spares.

I am building a bardominium that has 26 guage steel sheeting for walls. First off This comes with a nice case. It has a double sided nibbler that the handle can be screwed on the opposite side of the one being uses. It comes with an extra parts so a total of 3 cutters. It has a unibit and all tools need to do the job. The nible size is smaller than a traditiinal nibbler. I like this as it moves slower and gives greater control when cutting. This may not be an option for a pro needing to use often, but for the do it yourselfer it is perfect. It is a qaulity tool that will last a long long time. I used it to cut for electrical outlets and lights on exterior walls. I also used to cut for exaust vents and dry vent. Perfect choice tool for this task.

I bought this cutter for use cutting steel roofing panels. It works pretty well. I had this item on my regular drill and it cut fine but could only get it to go over 1 hump in a panel and then was unable to get the angle needed to cut through and had to use snips for that portion. Overall a nice cutter for the price.

I thought a Kenmore dryers body would be made of a pretty thick sheet metal. I thought it was a lot thicker than the 16 gauge max of the Lnchett nibbler. I pulled the nibbler out of the box to admire the machining. It looked pretty good. Installed it into my drill and I thought I'd just nibble out about 1/4" and see what it involved. Hit the trigger and nibble out about a 1/2" and stopped. It was neither noisy or difficult to do. So I pulled on the trigger and cut out the about 4" hole in the side of my wife's dryer as if I've done this many times before. I believe this nibbler is one of the better values out there for cutting straight as well as curves in sheet metal simply and with tons of control. It really is very simple to use and it comes packed with extra heads and tool for replacing the heads & minor user repairs. This kit also comes with the step drill bit so quite complete. The most important feature is that its safe & not very intimidating. The Cons: I bought this tool because I needed to cut a duct hole in the side of my wife's dryer and that's it! So that is the con it is a one hit wonderful sheetmetal cutout tool with a really early involuntary retirement. Because I'm a tool pack rat I'll never sell it. Did I tell you about the cool case it comes in?
