Once you finally get this successfully mounted to your drill (mine was a Dewalt impact driver), one way or another (I had to use an extra piece of wire I had to get it secured), it works as described, but takes a little bit to get the hang of it. I was using it to cut some sheet metal I had from another project to the size and shape I needed to make a dust catch for my stationary disc sander that only came with a dust port for the belt sander side... not sure what they were thinking there! It cuts fairly well, but you may want to use a vice and a drill with different speed settings as this can really take off before you realize it and you cut more than you wanted to!Another noteworthy thing I would mention is that it seemed to fit better when I connected the quick-connect bit between the cutter and the DW Impact driver, to extend the distance about two inches (see second photo for example).

Instructions were unclear, it came with parts not listed in the instructions which only added confusion when trying to put it together. Holds on to your drill with a spring wrapped around the handle of drill.. if that doesn’t say enough it also broke on first attempt to cut metal roofing material. Waited too long to return but maybe this review will keep someone else’s money in their pocket.

This is a rotary cutter. In my opinion it is NOT for cutting a long straight line in metal unless it is highly flexible. I tried using on 29 gage roofing steel. I needed to go from point A to point B, about 13 feet. It kept binding on itself and distorting one of the sides of metal and walking where ever it wanted to go and not where I wanted it to go. It almost wasn't worth the effort. If you are needing to go long and straight, DO NOT use something like this to make your cut.

I did the metal roof on my lean to. The tool cut the metal like butter. I recommend the tool

It works okay but leaves a knurled edge. Not good if you’re using it for body panel patches.
