This product constantly tangles and mostly won't track the cord in and out correctly. I would never but again.

I’ve never used a retractable leash usually choosing the more traditional leashes. When I saw this one, I decided, what the heck, I’ll try it. I’m pretty impressed and I might be a new convert. I like how ergonomic it is. The angle that the handle fits your hand makes it just the right angle for the leash to extend to my dog so that I don’t have to continually hold my hand out to hold the leash. It has a button that locks and unlocks the retractable leash and it’s located in an easy to reach position so no fumbling around to try to find the button. The leash seems fairly sturdy, and the color is just fun. What a great thing for me to just push a button and it retracts into a reasonably compact handle instead of the long rope leash that I try to roll and tie for storage. I’m using this for a miniature poodle, and it is plenty sturdy. I have had no problems with her pulling the leash farther than the lock that I set. I did remove a star because I am able to, when in the lock position, pull the leash out farther by hand without gorilla pulling it. That makes me really wonder if it could truly be used for a 55lb dog. My dog is 14lbs so I can’t exactly test that, but I am a bit leery. Overall, I’m super happy with this leash and will definitely be looking for another when this one wears out.

I used to have 3 different leashes, a 15-feet one for training, like recalling, a 6-feet one for daily use, a 1-feet one for heel training, but I don't need them anymore now. This 16-ft retractable dog leash replaced all of them. It uses sturdy nylon leash tape, very strong, can handle up to 55 pounds large dog. By using this product, I can easily grant my dog appropriate level of freedom based on the situation. Now I can control my dog with just one hand and hold my cellphone with another hand. SO GOOD.But before using it, make sure you practice enough about how to use your thumb to lock and unlock the lease tape.Highly recommended!
