This battery powered programmable water timer has several nice features compared to some other timers. The connectors are brass instead of plastic, for better durability in extreme temperatures. There is a rotary dial, thereby decreasing the number of button presses to program. There is a large display. And there are a multitude of useful programming options for 2 zones. The website video on programming is very useful, although I had some difficulty following all of it.My difficulty is with the programming. I have one output connected to a drip line with emitters, and this is easy to program. But my 2nd output is connected to a simple garden hose. Sometimes I want to connect this garden hose to a drip line for fruit trees to deep water, then shut off after 1 hour. Sometimes I just want to use the garden hose to fill a 2 gallon pot. But this water timer makes it challenging to turn this garden hose on and off in any manual setting. I have repeatedly referred to the owners instructions, without satisfaction. I know it can be done somehow, but it’s just not intuitive enough for me. Perhaps when I get more practice and figure it out, I will upgrade my rating to 5 stars. Right now, it feels frustrating.

I recently purchased the RESTMO Sprinkler Timer with the brass inlet and outlet, and I am extremely impressed with its performance! This timer is a game-changer for managing my garden irrigation system. The 3 separate programs give me plenty of flexibility for customizing the watering schedule, whether it's manual watering, an automatic schedule, or a rain delay. The brass fittings are a huge plus – they feel durable and high-quality, unlike plastic alternatives that can crack over time. The timer itself is easy to install, and I was up and running within minutes. I love that I can program it for multiple zones, and the two outlets are perfect for my needs, allowing me to water different areas of my garden without worrying about switching hoses. The rain delay feature is great – if it rains unexpectedly, I don't have to manually adjust the settings. It’s a smart feature that ensures I’m not over-watering, saving both water and money. I also appreciate the easy-to-read display that makes programming and adjusting the settings a breeze.Overall, the RESTMO Sprinkler Timer has made watering my garden much more convenient and efficient. If you want a reliable and programmable timer for your garden hose or drip irrigation system, I highly recommend this one. It's sturdy, user-friendly, and makes watering a lot less time-consuming!

As these things go, this is one of the easier-to-understand automatic sprinkler controls I've used. I may even eventually reach the point where I don't need the manual every time - most of what you need to do is pretty intuitive, with only a few obscure "do I have to click the button once, or was it twice" moments. This particular unit connects to one standard garden-hose-style water source, and, outputs two independently controlled standard garden-hose-style water feeds. This is great if your garden has two different types of plants that need different watering patterns, or if you're experimenting with different irrigation equipment. The two feeds are indeed completely independent as to programming, though I'd recommend configuring things so they aren't both running at the same time for maximum consistent water pressure. Each feed can have 3 separate watering times per day, ranging from 1 minute long to several hours. There is a clock that must be set, and you need to also set the day of the week. You can have watering every day, on specific days of the week, or every X days from 2 to 10. Not sure what would need watering only ever 10 days, but it's an option. The device takes 2 standard AA batteries (not included); I don't know how long they will last, I'd hope for at least one gardening season but we shall see. Obviously, the unit is designed to be watertight, and there's a rubber gasket around the battery container that seems adequate. Both the water inlet connectors, and both output connectors, are solid brass rather than the more common plastic, which makes this device of higher quality and therefore better longevity.I'd say this seems perhaps a bit on the pricey end, but considering that it has two separate outputs, additional extras, and is well designed, the price seems more reasonable. I'm happy with it so far, so I feel it deserves a high ranking. Recommended!

This garden hose timer/controller does it's job perfectly. I set it up in the corner where I have three hoses connected to the tap. The hose for general use is still attached to the brass outlet splitter, but this device replaces one of the manual outlets by putting the hose for my bird bath/water-feeder and the hose for my hedgerow onto each zone. I have the bird bath cycling once a week to refill any evaporative loss and water use. That is on the "L" (left) zone (the top one in the photo) and runs for 5 minutes every Friday. The "R" (right) zone (the bottom connection in the photo) runs for 20 minutes and feeds a soaker hose to put water directly on the ground near my bushes.Setting it up felt a little clunky, but ended-up being quite intuitive and I'm sure the clucky-feel is because the controls are built to survive the weather. The device seems tough and should not be affected by long exposure to the elements. There's a big knob that is turned into a position to select the function and then the other push buttons are used to change the settings. It was easy to setup for all sorts of different combinations of programs. The connections were solid and the gaskets provided produce a good seal so there have been no leaks from this since I installed it a week ago. I'm so happy I got this to make my regular manual waterings automated. I don't have to remember to go out and water/refill now. It just happens.
