For ZEKE's review, please refer to the picture. We put the sensor under a LED grow light, the meter show 0. No response for a light without UVB.
For ZEKE's review,UVI shows 1.3 under a basking light.When measured with the famous brand he mentioned,the UVII can also be detected.
For sunlight,,due to the limitations of IC, it incorrectly display the presence of UVC. However, the measured solar UVI is completely accurate.
Regarding the tests of the radiation power of UVC LEDs and UVC mercury lamps, the above-mentioned problem will not occur, and the tests are very accurate.
In his picture, There is a difference of 2.4 between AH-UVI and the famous brand, and that's because the sensors are not in the same position. If the mete of this famous brand is used, when there is a distance difference of about one fist, such a big difference will also occur.

This device is incredibly inaccurate and not at all suitable to measure reptile UVB lighting.The measurement reading of this device changes even when I toggle power to my LED plant lights and tungsten filament basking bulbs. In comparison, the reading of a Solarmeter 6.5 only changes when I toggle power to the T5 UVB or metal halide bulbs, both of which actually output UVB.This device also reports a UVC reading from sunlight, and anyone who passed high school science knows that's impossible because all UVC is blocked by the earth's ozone layer.

This is a handy item to have around if you are a parent to a UVB required reptile, like the Bearded Dragon. Read the instructions! I cannot stress this enough. They are easy to understand and follow. Setting this handy device up isn't difficult. I got it up and running in about 5 minutes. What a difference it makes in understanding my Babies needs. Works great, accuracy is pretty precise and wow what a good value. Get this, you won't regret it!

Love this meter. It has a few extra parts vs other products out there. And my honest opinion, I believe it’s better to have these extra parts because the extendable arm is perfect to reach across larger tanks or further back into tanks if your UVB bulb is positioned in a funny spot. For me, it’s within reach, but I love, knowing that I can disassemble and assemble these little parts Whenever necessary. I just stuff them all back in the box and put it on the shelf.Once you understand the zones and the numbers in each reading, it will make more sense when using this device. It is truly a lifesaver when determining the best environment for your scaly friends.Like I said in my subject line, I was comparing devices and decided to pull the trigger on this one. I am so glad I did and extremely excited to see how long these lightbulbs will last.Having the ability to truly test the UVI accurately at any point is reassuring.

I've been really impressed with how well this meter works right out of the box. The included wand/extension makes it so much easier to take readings from different spots in the tank.Once you dial in the correct light level and figure out how much light your current setup provides, you’ll be able to position the lights for the optimum setup.Like some other reviewers I do wish it was rechargeable, but I don't think we'll be using it so often that we'll burn through many batteries.Overall, this well made meter gets the job done, and adds an extra set to get our little friends the near-perfect setup.

Once you figure out how to translate all of the readings, this UV meter can really help you ensure that you are getting the right level of lighting for your scaley friends. This also comes with a bunch of spare parts which is handy as you will need to replace some of them from time to time
