Product is very inaccurate. Mercury thermometer is reading right around 100.5* this thermometer is ranging anywhere from 97* to 106.5* depending on when I decide to check it. Incubating chicken eggs and hoped this would help me keep an eye things especially with the audible alarm, but it is not reliable enough to continue to use. Shipping was fast and item was packaged well.

I purchased this unit for my chicken egg incubator, with the idea i could use the outside sensor to monitor the inside temps / humidity and alert me if they change. This would help limit opening the incubator to check on this. The outside sensor is junk, not even close to the correct temps when i compared it with another accurate thermometer. The inside sensor is accurate, but slow to respond. The alarm tone needs to sound longer than 5 seconds per hour. I would not buy this unit again for this type of application.

Llegó en buen estado lo que no me gustó es que tiene una alarma de alerta de cambio de humedad o temperatura muy estridente me parece que va a agotar muy rápido la batería

the high/low alarm is very annoying and the thresholds are very limited .. you can't disable it or set the threshold pass or below pre-programmed values

This Reptile Terrarium Hygrometer Thermometer with in/Out Temperature Humidity alarm is perfect for my grow area in my house. The plants I grow need to have the correct temperature and humidity for a good product.Easy to set up and easy to read This takes the worry out of incorrect temperature/humidity readings. Although I don’t have a way to compare this with another device the thermometer I use shows the same temperature. For the humidity I’ll have wait and see but so far it seems fine.

This is a somewhat decent temperature and humidity monitor (i.e. thermometer/hygrometer) with 1x remote sensor that seems reasonably well-built and works just fine for the most part (well, except for the display). Alarms can also be set for the temperature and the humidity level for both max and min levels but I have no plans to use them. The overall build quality is moderately decent; typical plastic shell with LCD display; however, the display is amongst of the worst that I've seen recently in comparison to most other thermometers/hygrometers that I've come across and reviewed. It's best viewed from the top down and I find it just challenging to read from other directions. Note that it's not difficult to read in an absolute sense; it's just bad comparing to others. It would REALLY help if it has a backlit screen though. The base station also has a sensor and it displays the current temperature and humidity level as well as the configured max/min temp and humidity level for the alarm, and it will cycle through the IN (base) and OUT (remote) on 5-sec interval (un-configurable). It will not display (i.e. no cycling between the IN and OUT readings) the temp/RH% for remote sensor if it's not connected (pic 5). It comes with an AAA battery which I do appreciate although it would've been better if this is rechargeable instead.Btw, the base unit has the IN sensor while the remote/detachable sensor is the OUT sensor; however, in the ads it states that the remote sensor is to be placed inside with the base unit outside and that would've been REALLY confusing. In terms of accuracy, well, it's not the greatest but it's also not the worst; about 1-2°C and 2-4%RH differences between the base and the extension sensor.≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a somewhat decent temperature and humidity monitor with 1x base station/unit along with 1x sensor. The base unit also has a sensor of its own so this can be used to monitor 2 locations at once although the cord limits how far they could be apart (2 m/6.6 ft) from each other. It's a bit pricey at $21 for what it provides and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance. Your mileage might vary.

I don't know about reptiles, but I have this set up out of a window to tell me the outdoor temperature. It gets a little confused in the bright morning sunshine (if there is any) but my mid-morning it reliably informs what I should be wearing outside today. Anything above about 13C is a shorts day.

This is such a handy device. it alerts me when the humidity is too high or too low and I can set the perimeters. It has worked great, very handy to just look over and see and I can know that if it gets too low it will let me know that I need to adjust something in the tank. Easy directions for set up.

Purchased to monitor temperature of an incubator. I connected the external sensor and set up the temperature ranges and waited to see if it works. Twenty minutes later the main unit and external sensor are sitting on the table in front of me side by side in the exact same conditions, however the display is showing that they are reading different temperature and humidity. They are beside each other - it makes no sense. They should be reading the same temperature and humidity. Incubating eggs is very sensitive, I don’t feel like this product is trustworthy. If needed for a less sensitive application it might be somewhat useful.

I wanted to like this item more than I do, and perhaps my discontent is my own fault. I prefer a simple hydrometer in my dart frog tank. Meaning no setting parameters or alarms. This hydrometer requires a decent amount of programming. If you are looking for something very specifically programmed to your tank, with a loud alarm, then this is for you.

Comes included with a battery so it's ready to go out of the box. I keep tarantulas and have them in their own enclosures in a unit, so monitoring the overall humidity and temperature is quite important. This is very handy as it has the ability to monitor the readings from 2 separate areas so it shows me if the temperature and humidity is consistent throughout. It took me a little bit of time to read through and understand exactly how it works, but now it's set up, it's doing great. The alarm feature is also very useful, I have set this to the min and max I required and hope I won't need to hear it, but it's a great safeguard just in case. It's not expensive, and it covers a wider area than my original one with the added safety guards. I recommend this product if these are things you need to be keeping an eye on.

Ordered to monitor temps for new chicks. Main unit was smaller than I expected, but turned out to be the right size. The outside sensor is attached to the other box. So far, success.

Checked this against one of my others and it was pretty spot on. Humidity level was right on the money and temp was within a couple tenths of a degree. It's pretty easy to get set up, but you'll need something small like a paperclip (I used an earring) if you want to change the temp to display fahrenheit instead of Celsius. I appreciate the fact that it comes with the battery you need. Only thing I would really change is to replace the adhesive with suction cups. Overall though no complaints, it works well and gets the job done (although do be prepared for a kind of loud beep when you first insert the battery)
