used for the housing of a bioactive vivarium which holds a crested gecko. Seems accurate +/- 1.5 degrees. Humidity seems about right as well. If you need something much more accurate, then i advise going elsewhere. if a couple degrees is okay for you , then this will work just fine! avoid spraying water directly on this though.

I bought two of these sensors and they seem accurate as they do show different readings for the different areas of the tank (which is what I needed). The temperature and humidity levels are easy to read on the display. The only issue I have with the product is that one of the suction cups keeps falling down off the glass. This could be because our snake keeps using it to climb 🤷🏻♀️😂. Overall, I feel that these work great for what I paid.

We have had one in our gecko terrarium for about a year and a half, and only now the battery has died. We have had one in our frog terrarium for about 9 months, zero problems. Some of the reviews on here are a bit unfair because they nitpick about a dead battery or suction cup failure. These are both easy fixes. Great item for the price!

This product works but it can only be placed on the right side of the tank or the numbers will be upside down unless you want it on the front piece of glass. The battery was also very hard to push in. I was worried about breaking the screen or cracking the plastic. All in all it seems like it is going to do what it’s supposed to, I just think those are important to know if you have a specific location in mind to put this.

I have 4 of these now and have been using them for a few weeks for my Black Cross Leopard Gecko: Agatha, Gargoyle Gecko: Drizzt and Giant African Bullfrog: Totem. I do have a corded hydro meter and thermometer connected to Totem's and Drizzt's tanks for Heating and watering timers. To test these I put them all in a row in the center of Totem's tank with a corded hydrometer and corded thermometer. All readings matched up with about a 0.5 margin of error that occurred between my Corded units and the digital units. All the digital units were showing the same reading so they all work great. Super easy to place around the tanks and allow me to see the temperature gradients that all my NEEDY pets have to have. I HIGHLY recommend these!

Works fine. LCD is hard to read in dark. Even tho you can mount it any way you like, it's only right side up when mounted on the right.

I purchased this unit based on the flexible design and placement; however, the battery does not make contact with the unit with the battery cover on. The unit came on when I reseated the battery, but it promptly switched off when I put the battery cover back on. So although the design of the unit is great, the execution is poor. Amazon is sending me a replacement unit so, hopefully, that one will be manufactured better.UPDATE: I received the replacement and it, too, has an issue with the battery making contact. The unit turns on if I put any pressure on the battery compartment cover but then it turns off intermittently (the battery loses contact over time). I’ll be returning this unit, too, as I need a reliable thermometer for a snake’s cage. Again, it is a shame given the unique design of the unit; but, unless a thermometer works consistently, it is useless.I wedged a small piece of cardboard in the battery compartment so the battery would make contact long enough to snap a couple of photos.
