About this item

  • LED Display for Clear Readability: The Thermometer hygrometer features an LED high-definition display that provides a wide viewing angle of up to 120°, which not only provides a significant visual advantage, but also ensures good color saturation, solving readability problems in bright light or darkness.
  • Push- Button Power: The push-button power switch is easy to activate, simply press the on/off button on the control cord to start the unit. Once powered on, the digital humidity thermometer will continuously and accurately monitor temperature, updating temperature and humidity changes every 10 seconds.
  • Measurement Accuracy: This reptile thermometer and humidity gauge has a built-in high precision temperature sensing chip with a precise and sensitive detection point and a temperature range of 32°F-140°F and a humidity range of 0-99% to meet a wide range of measurement needs. Temperature range is controlled at ±1.8°F to ensure accurate readings.
  • Adhesive Mounting: Unlike other digital thermometers and hygrometers, this unit is designed to be easy to use with adhesive tape. Simply peel off the tape and stick it to any surface for safe and reliable monitoring. The cable length of 150 cm gives you the flexibility to place and install it in your pet's enclosure.
  • Suitable for Reptiles: this thermo-hygrometer is used in reptile habitats (e.g. reptile cages, chameleons, tortoises, bearded dragons, etc.) to detect the temperature and humidity levels in pet enclosures, making it easy for pet owners to keep up to date with the temperature and humidity levels being maintained in their pet enclosures.

The right temperature and humidity are important for reptile pets that need to molt!

Detecting the molt environment of a reptile pet

I just set up a BIG terrarium for my Cope's Gray Treefrogs. It measures 36" tall x24" wide x18" deep.I moved my frogs from a small terrarium that I used a mechanical thermometer hygrometer that is made by a big name reptile supply company. That thermometer was never accurate. Not accurate and it was very difficult to see to read it.Now that my frogs have moved in to their new home, I wanted to monitor their temp & humidity levels with electric gauges that are easy to see. I wanted bright LED lights. I did not want LCD screens.I cannot believe how nice these gauges are! Five bucks? Really? USB power FTW!These are easy to read and they are really ACCURATE! I am running two for redundancy. All I need are ballpark temp and humidity readings. When I bought them I placed three other thermometer / hygrometers (all different kinds and brands) in the terrarium with these gauges to check for accuracy. All them were within 1 degree and 1%. All five gauges. Not bad!As you can see in my photos, the temps are within 0.3 degrees. The lower one that shows 0.3 degrees warmer is closer to the heater than the higher one. Humidity readings are within 1.1% difference. Again, the gauge with slightly lower humidity is closer to the heater as well. The upper thermometer is shielded from the lower one.I can live with a 0.3 degree temperature difference and a 1.1% humidity level difference. Those are REALLY close numbers. All I really wanted is a ballpark figure, and these give me more that that. They give EXCELLENT readings.Again, did I mention that these are ONLY FIVE DOLLARS?I just bought a couple more for other terrariums. So there you go. Accurate thermometer/hygrometer gauges that are GREEN LED and EASY to read. USB powered! Some gauges out there are battery operated. So, yeah I am not going to be changing any batteries! You CANNOT get an LED thermometer / hygrometer that is battery powered. You can ONLY get LCD battery powered gauges. LCD's are hard to read. So, for the person complaining about this not being battery powered, well, sorry dude, but an LED thermometer / hygrometer that shows readings ALL THE TIME simply does not exist. Watch type button cell batteries simply cannot power a full time LED gauge.LOOK at my setup. These work GREAT!I highly recommend these! I have FOUR so far and if I add any more terrariums to my collection I will definitely be using these to monitor them.I forgot to mention. These do not come with their own power supply. That is not a deal breaker for me. I have plenty of old USB cell phone wall chargers laying around.

Temperature takes hours to change no matter how hot or cold it is. This is my 2nd one that is being returned.

this tank thermometer reads the temp and humidity levels effectively. It easily adheres to the tank glass and remains secure. The LED display is bright and clear, allowing me to confirm the readings in the night.

Unless your power outlet has a USB plug, you will need an extra or two connections (outlet extension, USB charging ports) for continuous plug-in for the thermometer to be on/working...not @ all practical for simple, convenient set-up...won't be using it in my snake's vivarium.
