I bought this for the brand name. It is completely cheap! The suction cup no matter which way you install it with the side mechanism or straighten the back does not stick to glass. I highly recommend finding a different one.!

I've had this item for almost a year in my snail's terrarium, then the battery died. I just replaced it easily and it's working fine again.

First tried this in a black pvc enclosure. You can’t read it unless you put a white sticker on the back side. Moved it to one of my glass enclosures and can easily read it.

The thermometer continues to fall off - I'll probably look into some double sided tape. Additionally, the reading is very hand to see - it's not that it's not large enough - the lighting/brightness just stinks.

I was hoping this would be a great addition to my reptile tank but it turned out to be a complete waste of money. The display is small and hard to read from any distance. Even though the suction cup is supposed to make it easy to attach to the tank it kept falling off every few hours. I would put it back on and within a short time it would slide down again.The temperature readings are totally unreliable. Sometimes it would show 10-15 degrees off from what my other thermometers were reading. This is especially concerning when it comes to keeping reptiles healthy. The humidity readings were also inconsistent. It’s frustrating trying to rely on something that constantly gives false readings.The only positive thing about it is the fact that it looks somewhat sleek. But that doesn’t matter when it’s practically useless for keeping my reptiles’ environment stable. Save your money and get a more reliable thermometer hygrometer. This one is definitely not worth it.

Love this little thing! I can move it anywhere in my iguanas terrarium @ any time. U can set it up in 2 different positions (see pics). The digits r easy to read and it’s super accurate. I’ve only had it not work 2x but I’m sure that dropping it in the drinking water didn’t help much. All I did was took the battery out for a while & it worked perfectly again. It’s way more cost effective than the ones that u stick on the side w/a sticky back. Once u take those off u can’t put them back on. The sticky back is a pain to get off the glass as well. If u want a clean, easy, effective way to monitor the heat & humidity of a terrarium this it the best option!! Only thing I would change is making it 100% water proof!

i’ve seen reviews that made me skeptical of getting this regarding it getting wet and not working. mine got wet during a move and sure enough stopped working, **BUT** i took out the battery, wiped it off, and left the thermometer in the sun to dry, and it’s good as new and still as accurate as before. i just bought a second one for the cold side of my ball pythons tank. she loves climbing on them and just hanging out and vibing and i love that i can keep an accurate track of her humidity/heat levels. definitely recommend !!! they can be a little hard to read in certain lighting but you can fix that by putting a piece of white tape behind it if it bothers you that much :)
