PLOT

A Wine Tasting Murder Mystery

An elite crowd is gathered in Château des Folles, the world’s oldest (and smelliest) cheese variety is about to meet a wine that has been scientifically formulated to bring out its full flavour.

Alain Bosc, the eccentric billionaire who sponsored the wine-and-cheese project takes a piece of cheese from his solid gold plate, and follows it with a gulp of wine. He licks his fingers and says, “Ah! A perfect pai—” before he chokes and falls to the floor, dead.

Awful! Received a used item, even though I purchased new, it was missing pieces and had name badges in it, which were filled out already! Very disappointing!!!

I ordered this a while ago but I saved it until Christmas Day to use it with my family after our Christmas dinner. The game lasted for about 90 minutes with the 10 of us playing. It was quite fun to be the games master and everyone seemed to enjoy taking part in this unusual game. The game itself is replayable which will keep it interesting for future iterations and I hope to play again perhaps with some work colleagues when we next have our get-togethers!5 out of 5 stars. It was easy to play, quite fun and everyone really got into their character!

I play with people who range from expert English to barely there English, so this is fun for people who can read ahead and be able to actually act out those characters. If you're down in the south and some have a bit of trouble comprehending the words in the text, it's a bit more of a problem. For the most part though this is a great game and usable once or twice with the same people, or multiple times with new guests.

This is a nice twist on a boxed murder mystery game. Get your crew together, bring out the wine and cheese and begin to have fun. There are 3 different scenarios that you can play out, so you can use this set over and over. As the host/hostess, you too can play along if desired. This is a well thought out game set, everything you need is included.

This is a fun game. I gave it to my mom to play with her friends at her women's club. They tried it and had a hoot. What I especially like is that the host can join in as well. It's fun to not be stuck "hosting" the game but to be able to participate as well. The kit is well-done and very giftable!

This game has redefined ‘dinner and a show! A few friends, a bottle (or three) of wine, some posh cheese, and within minutes, everyone was in character. It’s easy to play, so no faffing checking rules constantly. The plotline is hilariously dramatic, and each character is loaded with quirks, rivalries, and hints of mischief. Sooooo funny seeing friends happily embrace the persona of a scheming (possibly killer) tycoon or a jealous sommelier! Each twist kept us hooked, and by the time the killer was revealed, we were all cheering, half in victory and half in disbelief. This was one of the most unforgettable game nights we’ve had in years! A fab evening of suspense and laughing. The storyline is packed with clever puns, red herrings, and just enough cheeky innuendo to make it all the more fun after a glass of wine. What’s impressive is the replayability as each round has a randomly assigned culprit, so it’s never the same game twice. The character cards and clues are well-crafted, and the setup is easy enough for anyone to host without knowing the ending. By the end, we were all laughing, accusing each other with wild abandon, and declaring it a new tradition for our game nights. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting a lively, memorable evening! Five 🌟 stars.

I ordered this Physical Boxed Kit - Replay-able A Wine Tasting Themed Murder Mystery Game Kit English 4-20 Players murder mystery game box for my husband, who is a fan of mysteries, acting, and wine.We haven’t had a chance to play this yet, but I’ve looked at the materials (without opening the sealed clue packets!) and this looks like a great party starter. This is a game box for a murder mystery evening that can accommodate between four and twenty partygoers. I was impressed that this game allows the host to play along if they want; many mystery evenings involve a host who is pulling all the strings, but the host can play along without being spoiled. The story involves an eccentric billionaire who has funded a project to develop a wine to complement to world’s stinkiest cheese. He tastes the pairing, and drops dead. The game includes links to video and audio files as well as sealed packets of clues. This is a medium level mystery, and it is designed to take between 1 1/2 and three hours of gameplay. This would be perfect for en evening of charcuterie and wine sampling, you could coordinate your menu with the story.Characters in the game can be played by anyone, they are not necessarily gender specific. One thing I think is great about this game is that it can be played again. Many of these boxed mysteries are one-and-done, why replay a mystery? This kit has different end, so you can play it over again.Like I said, we haven’t had the time to play this yet, but I thought it could be a lot of fun over the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays. I loved the amusing character descriptions, like the Clingy.Count/Countess Transylla : Aristocrat from a distant country. Drinks wine and other red drinks.Or Lessar Bosc: The victim’s younger sibling. Dragged along to look like a happy family. We love costumes, so we’ll probably go all out for the characters. You can put as much or as little theming, decorating, and costuming into this as you want, the game has all the twists and turns to entertain you and your friends and family for an evening. This could definitely make a fun Christmas present for a mystery lover or oenophile.

This is a wine tasting murder mystery game. The game consists of mainly cards and using technology so I’m thinking the price is a little steep. Although this can be played by up to 20 players so works out at less than one pound per player. Not bad when you look at it like that. We’re playing this at Christmas so have only looked through the box bit it looks like a good evenings entertainment.

Having played a few of these dinner party murder mystery games in the past I had a good idea of how this set would work. It arrived well packaged and with a good set of instructions, so if this is your first time doing one of these I would say it is an excellent set to start with. The quality of the game is really high. Good instruction and character cards, the storyline is strong and some good twists and quite funny stories are in there. And if you and your guests are wine lovers then this is the perfect theme - lots of cheese and wine related puns abound so it will have everyone laughing and groaning in equal measure :-)The other great aspect is that the murderer is a random selection. So the set is replayable as the clues and characters and endings are mixed around so it becomes a different solution every time.Recommended for both experienced and new murder game lovers alike!

The packaging for this game is high quality, professionally made and organized. Although, initially I was a little confused when I opened this, as there are 3 Evidence Packages - labeled 1, 3 and 4.But the seller informed me that Round 2 wasn't missing, just simply not needed or included on purpose. I appreciate the swift feedback and customer service. I'm hosting my girlfriends for a Halloween themed "wine night" and plan on playing this game... which seems like it will be super fun. Will update once our Wine Tasting Murder night has concluded!
