Buyer beware! This battery died after a few weeks and would no longer hold a charge. Used on a Garmin 396 GPS.

This was a perfect fit for my Garmin 396 GPS. My last one never fit properly and would easily fall out. After two months it is working great.

The plastic clip on the battery doesn't lock into the gps unit, allowing the battery to fall out. Amazon doesn't think replacing the battery will help, instead they gave me $1.50 off of the purchase price of a battery that falls out. I will be contacting the manufacturer.

Fit my 396 perfectly, no fitment issues like others reported. Works, holds a charge, and much less expensive than the genuine garmin battery

Great buy. As others have commented, for the GPS396 it is just the slightest bit "off". It clips in and holds fine, but if you shake the GPS hard it will fall out because it just halfway clicks in. Because of the prior reviews I was expecting this and fixed it with a little duct duct tape to the bottom side of the battery. I am very happy with the final result and since I used black duct tape in small strips you can't even notice anything different if you take the battery out. With the tape on the bottom side it comes in and out of the unit like an original - no difference, and no need for there to be any visible tape when it is in.

Works fine and charged up for nearly 10 hours according to my Garmin GPSMAP. The fit was not perfect as it can pop out easily. If not for this nuisance, I would give it 5 stars.
