Battery worked as advertised. Kindle now working better than ever. Have not charged Kindle for over a week, and still showing 95+% battery. Getting the Kindle backplate off and replacing battery was fairly straightforward (plenty of videos available online). Make sure you retrieve and replace the silver-ish washers that go on either side of the connector when replacing the battery (they tend to stick to the old battery). They're needed to make the battery make proper contact with terminals.

Battery was easy to install. Larger capacity than before so now my kindle runs longer. When my other kindle battery gives up I will purchase one of these

Like others are saying, it thankfully brought my kindle back to life, but it doesn’t hold the charge long. About every 1 to 2 days just in standby mode before it dies and I have to recharge. If it’s already this weak, I question how long this battery will actually last me…

This battery was a perfect fix/replacement for an old Kindle Keyboard I had. Works well and so far it seems to have great battery life (transferred tons of books and used and still almost full after a week). Will see how long it lasts and update this review if I run into any issues.

Bought this kit to replace my battery in the original kindle keyboard. Kit is nice, they give you plenty of tools to replace the battery. Installation was straight forward took all of 5 minutes. Charged the Kindle fully and turned it on to make sure everything worked and it did. I thought it was a bit odd it charged fully with in a couple hours, original battery took much longer. Set it aside for roughly 8 hrs and the kindle was completely dead. Charged it up again made sure internet was off (it was) set it aside came back to it about 6hrs later and it was dead again. The original battery held a better charge and it's 15ish years old. I havnt even used it and it drains that quick, hate to see if I were actually using it. Spend the couple extra bucks and pass on this one.

It works. However it does not have long life. It will only remain charged for a week even when the device is "off". Also, the plastic spudge tool is a little weak but with care, I was finally able to remove the back. Overall I'm happy I was able to revive the old Kindle

Finally after 4 years of holding onto my old kindle just not willing to toss it i fpund this and bam like that i got my old kindle with my books and audiobooks all intact!!! Follow instructions it does need re charging almost daily but it works.
