I watched a great YouTube video and decided to try replacing my older iPad’s battery with this battery and toolkit, since it was dying quickly and running super slow. While I’m sure it’s possible to do the replacement, I definitely couldn’t manage it myself. I ended up cracking my screen pretty badly during the process.So, can't say if the battery is good, but the tools are okay and don't necessarily make this easier.My advice: skip this and.... Either pay a professional to do the job or just buy a new iPad. It wasn’t worth the frustration, and I regret trying to DIY it.

After approximately 6 months of use, the battery expanded and pushed the screen and digitizer out.

The battery was in good condition, but getting the glass off the iPad Air without breaking it proved to be impossible. Also, the kit does not include the two sided tape necessary to reassemble the iPad glass. We gave up after breaking the glass and returned the battery.

Assuming you know how to install this, great replacement. After removing the screen and LCD just lighty life the logic board and pull out the old battery. There is no need to remove everything before taking out the old batter and putting in the new one. Great product!

11th Month Update: Had to rate this 1 star batter already needs to be replaced again the charge only holds for about 1-2 hours very disappointing the original one last about 7 years. If you're looking for a long term replacement find a different product.Previous 5-star review:Great value replacement battery bought one to replace a complete dead battery in an iPad air. Screen had a red battery would not charge at all figure it was the battery or charge port. Started with the easier of the two repairs and glad I did this fixed the issue. This is not an easy repair expect it to take an hour or more and take your time very delicate ribbon cables when taking the glass panel off. Took me about an hour to do hardest part was taking the glass off. Second was the battery took a lot of time because I didn't want it to rupture and trying to separate it from the aluminum back the glue Apple used is very strong!Overall happy with the battery and value.

Loved it it provides just enough light and it’s very easy to assemble had a little difficulty tho with the light socket but it was minor just have to be very patient

This was the first one I replaced. There could have been some instructions. I overheated the LCD screen and rippled it, other than that it was an easy install.

The tool is very useful! iPad works as new and holds a charge well. I strongly recommend watching Utube on how to do this before starting. It will help you a lot! Personally feels better to do it myself rather than trusting a stranger with a valuable piece of tech.
