How to Replace Your A1389 Battery:
- Power off your tablet and unplug it from the power source.
- Disconnect the old battery from the motherboard to avoid any damage caused by disassembly. Be sure to carefully unscrew each battery screw and keep them in a safe place.
- Remove the old battery and securely install the new battery onto the battery case. Be sure to attach the wiring of the new battery.

Tablet Battery Instruction:
- Discharge the new battery use to 5%(not to 0%) and then charge to 90%, and cycle 3-5 times to activate the battery’s maximum capacity.
- Do not disassemble, crush, or puncture the battery. Do not dispose of it in fire or water.
- If you plan to remove the battery for an extended period, make sure to charge it to at least 80% at least once a month.
- Do not keep the adapter connected to the battery for extended periods, as this may damage the battery.

Installation was easy only because my original apple battery bulge enough to push the screen out. For what I paid for, I expect it to work 100% but it doesn’t. If I didn’t seal screen yet, I would have return it. Save yourselves the trouble, don’t buy this one.

This battery came well packaged with tools to install, not sufficient to remove the Apple battery though. I recommend Ifixit Kits. not sure about the battery life because my IPad had more issues than a battery and haven't resolved the problems. Good thing though, at least the battery did not explode because the original blew up like a balloon caught it just in time.
