The texture of Re-Nuble Renu Terra Seed Format Mats are pours material they hold water even in sunlight (heat). The 2nd picture is day 2 and the 3rd picture was day 4. The process I just used an ordinary cooking tray laid the mats out after soaking the large seeds for a day. Then I sprinkled the seeds on the mat Picture 1 and apply filter water directly on tray and watch the mats soak up the water. I cover the tray with aluminum foil for two day when I uncovered and the mats were still wet and mostly soaked. I water them slightly (the tray not the mats), to be on the cautious side (which I did not have to). Bottom line, I did not have to water at all nor did I have to be attentive to the process. Clean up was a breeze and especially with the greens themselves. Very fast shipping

Good quality but smaller than I expected. I want to try it out for microgreens that I’m starting this year so I’m looking forward to it. I’ll update with results on performance but as far as quality it seems really good. Also I like the fact that it comes with a lot inside.

I have standard seed-starter trays, so these 5x5 squares were an odd fit. I grow microgreens indoors for salad and they sprouted well in the Re-Nuble mats, with less chance of mold than in the regular seeding sheets.

I had to switch away from coco coir mats because I kept getting mold. I've been excited to find this doesn't happen with Re-Nuble mats. I've also noticed I get more and larger sprouts with these mats.

Works as described. Using the 50% off coupon makes their price more reasonable. They work great for sprouting seeds.

It was falling apart. Needed to be cut to 10x20 to correctly stack trays.

Re-Nuble microgreen mats are quite nice. This is my first microgreen experience and these seem to be good quality. There is absolutely no smell to these at all. For my purposes I would only need a a small amount of greens at a time (for 3-4 salads worth) so these are sized just right as you would harvest the entire pad and discard it (as explained in the directions). They are a decent thickness and the fibers seem natural. Note that these mats are cut fibers and if you open them in the kitchen expect shedding. There is a QR code on the package for newbies like myself. There you will find more instructions for successful growing. On there you will also find 2 link to YouTube. One which shows some highlights of their products and the second YouTube video, which is the helpful one, shows how to use the mats. The videos, of course, showboat their other products and if you are going to grow microgreens on a regular basis those look very handy. For my casual, occasional usage I can find a disposable tray and lid that will work here out of my kitchen supplies. Good non-reusable product. UPDATE: Finally able to try these out. They work very well. I love these smaller sized mats that are more reasonable for 4-6 salad portions and trim easily to fit my containers. My broccoli and alfalfa sprouts look fantastic.

I'm new to growing indoor microgreens, but have quickly learned that not all grow mats are equal. I've tried hemp mats, but was disappointed to find they fall apart (especially during transfer) and develop a foul smell (does not make my food appetizing). In contrast Re-Nuble mats are a higher quality and more durable. The Re-Nuble mats don't fall apart or get smelly like the hemp ones. I love that they are compostable and sustainable too! Will definitely buy again.
