I LOVE this scale! It works on its own as just a scale to show your weight. It looks clean and modern, the glass is strong but the scale is lightweight and easy to move it around. A good simple solution if you need a scale and want it to look good. That’s all wonderful, but the TRUE beauty of this scale is in the app!! It has an app that will not only keep track of your weight, each time you measure yourself, it’ll also track your BMI, body fat%, water weight, muscle mass, and about 20 other body measurements. It’ll even tell you your metabolic age according to all the measurements! You can add several people to your account in the app or have each person create their own account and the scale app will track measurements according to who is on the scale. You can set goals for your weight or body fat and track changes over time. So you get a body weight scale as well as a BMI calculator and all these other perks for less than it would cost to get a regular scale and a BMI calculator and other specialized products. I love my scale and highly recommend it to anyone looking to keep track of their body weight and fitness. Especially recommend if you’re actively trying to gain or lose weight/muscle.

Let me start by saying I would not have bought this scale for other than the fact it was featured as an Amazon deal.I had given up on smart scales. I bought at least two, one costing twice as much as this one, and was very unhappy with them both. So much so, they were both returned. There was either a problem with the scale not being accurate or not being able to sustain a Bluetooth connection.As far as I was concerned, these scales were garbage.So, when this scale from RENPHO went on sale, the price was tempting enough that I started reading Amazon reviews. I was quite surprised to read a wealth of positive feedback on the accuracy of this scale AND the fact that it was able to keep a connection to one's mobile device. I kind of got suckered into the purchase not knowing anything about the manufacturer and under the assumption that I would probably be sending it back to Amazon shortly after purchase.Everything that has happened since has been nothing but positive.First of all, syncing this to my iPhone via the RENPHO app was very easy. The app even integrates with Apple's Health App which is an extra bonus. I set my personal information as well as weight goals up in the app. The next action was stepping on the scale to see exactly how accurate this scale would be. To my astonishment, it was on the spot. I was not expecting this, as most of these scales I have buying were way off. This one was actually accurate.As I stepped on the scale I heard a little sound effect coming from my iPhone. My weight had immediately been transmitted and stored to the RENPHO app. I opened up Apple Health and my weight was there as well. Future weigh-in's garnered the same result as long as my iPhone was within Bluetooth range.Can't say I really understand body mass settings. The app does its best to tell you whether you are in the normal, overweight or obese range. I am going to have to take the word of the app that I have a little bit of work to do in order to get back to normal.I forgot to mention that one of the best aspects of this scale is that you don't have to worry about replacing batteries. The scale is fully rechargeable. It comes with a USB cord, but you are going to have to supply your own power adapter.I have to stress that I tried a scale in the $60+ range made by one of the big companies in the health tracking field. It was the most undependable product of that type I ever bought. It really put a scare into me from buying another smart scale. What made matters initially worse was this scale was almost a third of the price lesser. How could it be better? Well, I managed to really surprise myself with this purchase. It's really a great scale that's really accurate and can keep its Bluetooth connection.Yes, this is the scale you want!

Nearly instantly, it conveys the information to the RENPHO Smart App, which provides valuable feedback based on certain metrics such as height and age.RENPHO SMART SCALE APPI am using the iOS version of the Renpho Smart app. The app involves a sign-up process which asks for certain parameters including weight, age, and height in order to best determine your progress and goals.The app has the capability to work with Apple Health to compile information and create a comprehensive picture.The app estimates BMI, Body Fat%, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, as well as providing a graph which tracks progress in these various metrics.This is what makes this scale stand out. This information is far and beyond what a “dumb scale” could possibly communicate, making use of the limitless capability of smartphones to process and present data.In my opinion, this makes the scale worth well beyond the asking price.Bluetooth may at first seem gimmicky when it comes to a scale, but it’s the information that is communicated via the app which really adds so much value to this scale.FINAL THOUGHTSI would recommend it to anyone tenfold for its retail price.If you are at all concerned about health, wanting to know more about your body, and how to create a plan of action in order to improve fitness, as well as staying on track with your goals, the RENPHO Smart Scale is the perfect place to start.

It has so many fantastic functions that I was always trying to find how to get them without having to go to the doctor's office or lab for testing. This scale not only tells me my weight, but BMI, bone mass, muscle mass, water mass %, fat-free body weight, and protein % (I may have missed one or two), but connects to my cell phone via blue tooth, and keeps a full record from day 1, and shows a concise history on top, as well as showing color scales of where the user's numbers fall in with recognized scales, showing under, normal, obesity, and maybe others on different measurements. I can hardly believe how reasonably priced this scale is for all the information it provides I highly recommend this scale. Update: I have continued to use this scale for about four months and am still highly impressed with its accuracy and convenience. When I had my most recent doctor visit, I was able to show him on my iPhone my stats since I first started using the scale. It provides a great history for doctors; best news was that my doctor is impressed with my ability to track so many biomarkers, and has suggested that I don't need to lose any more weight, but just maintain at current weight! I still highly recommend this Bluetooth Body Fat Scale by RENPHO.
