The readout never settled on one number, then it would shut off after a few seconds. I tried replacing the included batteries with fresh batteries but that didn't help. This may have just been an unlucky case of one defective unit. The seller was quick to offer me a full refund, no questions asked.

This is a slim scale with bright, big easy to read numbers. I've had trouble reading the numbers on previous scales so THIS is an important feature.

The biggest complaint I have is the size- it's smaller than the analog scale I was using before, and I find it a little hard to balance on without covering the display. Having a compact scale could easily be a benefit in some circumstances, so I'm not going to dock it any stars. It seems responsive to being stepped on, and seems accurate as much as I'm able to evaluate it. The display lights up nightly and is easy to read, though maybe it stays on a bit too long after I've gotten off of it. I guess my main concern is how long a couple of AAA batteries can run a backlight like that. If the batteries die in a few months I'll probably update this review.

Monitoring one's weight can be an important exercise. Abnormal weight loss, or gain, can be indicative of various issues. Being digital, this scale would allow for the user to get those measurements down to one-tenth of a pound. So, it was ordered.The scale arrived quickly. Just 2 days, It was in good condition as was its factory box.The scale is battery powered and requires 2 AAA batteries which were included. Installing the batteries was a snap and the scale powered on in pounds. (Kilograms are the other option.) The scale's display is on the smallish side and it's not all that bright. However, it is readable and useful.The scale is rather small at 10" square and just under an inch thick. Meaning it can fit in small spaces. The scale produced results which compare very favorably with two other scales we have.
