Had a issue with my ignition where I couldn't turn the car off and take my key out so I ordered this and hooked it up in 10 mins so now I just use the little remote for turning the power on and off with this. Works great so far, using for about a month or so.

My daughter installed an aftermarket audio with a second stage amplifier and subwoofer. When all was done we noticed that there was a small circuit leak and when the car was not driven for long periods of time, we would eventually end up with a drained battery. After we installed the switch all was great. I just switch off after she leaves for college and the batter is fresh when she comes back home.

I had a slow battery drain that was driving me nuts. I spent some quality time with my multimeter, poking around like Sherlock Holmes, but couldn't find the culprit. It got to the point where I either had to drive the car every few days or keep it hooked up to a battery tender like it was on life support. Since I work from home and we’ve got three cars, if this one sat too long off the tender, the battery would be as dead as a doornail. Sure, jumping it was easy, but constantly draining your battery like that is just asking for trouble—it’s like shaving years off its life. Then I found this nifty gadget. Took me about 35 minutes to install, and it works like a charm. It’s solidly built, and if you’ve got even a basic understanding of DC wiring, you can probably toss the instructions. It’s just a simple relay with a remote, so you don’t need to mess with another power switch. It’s designed to disconnect the negative post, and that’s it. Now, I’ve got an aftermarket stereo setup (which I’m pretty sure is the battery drain villain here), so I had to shuffle some things around on my battery, but no biggie.Bottom line: I’d totally recommend this and would buy it again if I had to. And hey, if you’ve got one of those Kias that’s always at risk of getting stolen, this thing is your new best friend. No more ugly steering wheel clubs or other goofy-looking devices—just push a button, and your car’s going nowhere!

Worked well for a while but then would not turn back on.If you get one of these - carry tools in your vehicle to remove it and reconnect your battery as normal.Would not recommend at all

The 2 extra small cable leads are what sold this for me. My engine bay is limited in space, specifically in height (up to hood) so the other types where it sits on top of the battery are not an option. I wanted to be able to tuck it behind the battery and this worked great. As to those who said the "picture instructions are difficult/vauge" I don't see how that is possible, the pic instructions are very straightforward and basic/easy to read. I attached a pic of them for reference.Lastly, not too many talk of this, but obviously the radio will loose its memory (depending on how your radio is wired) so keep that in mind.Great item worked right of the box! Thanks!

It works! Installation instructions weren’t clear but the difficult part was figuring out where to place the device so it can’t short the battery if it is knocked out of position. One concerning issue was the bottom of the device is only friction fit, and it came loose during installation, exposing all the internals. Make sure not to put any force that can squeeze the box, as that will let the bottom come loose.

So far it's working great on my car. It was very easy to install. On my Durango, when it's off and I turn it on, it takes about 20 seconds for the car's computer to boot up where the door locks work. Not a problem with the unit, just FYI.I would recommend.
