This drum speaks with minimal effort. It is loud and authoritative and it was in nearly perfect tune out of the box. It is exceptionally responsive. It looks very cool!The Skyndeep head and Acousticon shell give it a ring reminiscent of a dumbek. It can be tuned precisely. The materials keep the instrument stable making it a great choice for performance. This alone was a big factor in choosing it over a traditional drum.I purchased a Toca djembe stand to play it seated.Highly recommended for the performing percussionist. Big fun!

The 12 inch Remo Mondo Black Earth is fantastic. The drum is very loud, very light, and very weather proof. It is perfect for gigging in all climatic conditions. The Slaps hits are bright and well defined from the Tone hits and the Bass hits are really deep. What more do you want out of an all synthetic drum... Well maybe a the 14 inch version. :) I just bought this drum after eyeing it for nearly a year. At first play I fell in love! This drum ticked-off all the boxes I was shopping for and it sounds & plays better than I had hoped! Dare I say Best for Value? Yes! You can't go wrong with Remo.

Looks cool. Used as a stationary table. Although never used as an instrument, it has a nice, bright, tight sound. Shows signs of splitting where diameters change, probably from climate changes as it has never moved from its spot since I've had it.

Zuerst einmal, dies ist-wie auch in der Artikelnummer als '12' zu sehen ist- eine 12-Zoll-Djembe, also hat einen Durchmesser von 30,48 cm. Im Text sind 10 Zoll beschrieben...Ich kannte die Djembe schon von einer Freundin aus meiner Percussiongruppe und wusste, was ich mir da zulege. Die Trommel ist super schick, wetterfest, hat ein angenehm sanftes Fell, einen guten Klang und spielt sich einfach nur toll. Im Vergleich zu Holz-Djemben lässt sie sich leicht stimmen. Sie hat erst einmal ein ordentliches Gewicht, aber mit einem Schultergurt empfand ich sie schon fast als Leichtgewicht.Ich habe mir mit dem Kauf einen großen Wunsch erfüllt und bin so ein bisschen verliebt :D

Fantastic Djembe!! I've had this for over one year now and still just love it. I live in a very humid climate so I wanted something that sounded great and was easy to tune. Fact is I rarely have to tune it. I really like Remo products and have a 9" doumbek as well. This drum produces great high sharp rim taps along with nice round bass sounds. I love the bevelled edge for comfort. Overall I enjoy being able to take anywhere in most all weather conditions and having it sound great. Highly recommend!

Eine Allwetter Djembe fürs leichte Gepäck ist sie allemal.Der Klang ist natürlich anders als bei einer Holzdjembe, aber gerade das kann auch im Zusammenspiel mit Anderen den Reiz ausmachen.Sie lässt sich gut leise anschlagen, was den Nachbarn freut.Schön sie zu haben.

I'm a student of the djembe. This drum is lightweight, easily tuneable, portable, and has a good enough sound for a beginner.

Remo does an excellent job of producing a synthetic drum that mimics the tones of the African hand crafted original.It appears well made and durable. The bass tone is richer and warmer than I would have expected and the playability of the drum is excellent. The Drum has a little ring to it but this is expected. It is completely user friendly and overall a wonderful instrument. In addition to the sounds produced I love the portability.

I had never played a djembe, but wanted to learn, so I bought this drum. I did not know what it would sound like, and I feared that it might sound like a toy or just not have a good sound. I needn't have worried. It has a great sound, and everyone around me wants to play it. I watched some youtube videos to learn the basics, and it was not hard at all. I have been making up my own rhythms, and I plan to watch some more videos to learn more. My 8 year old daughter loves this drum and says she wants one for Christmas. I may get her a child size one.

It's a Remo, what else to say? Great all weather drum for those doing a lot of drumming outside, festivals, etc.
