I wasn't sure of my djembe LP model. I measured and guessed what I hoped was right. It was! I had never replaced a drum head before or for that matter tuned a drum. I was able to do both. It sounds even better than it had.

The drum head was exactly as advertised. The service from the vendor was excellent - it was shipped on time and came well packaged.

The original head on my LP Djembe was punctured years ago while transporting and I finally replaced it with the LP961 head. Very psyched with how this head sounds. Next best thing to stringing up a goat skin! It will never be as good or get as tight and high as a real goat skin but has a great sound!

Despite what the other reviewer claims, this IS the replacement head for the Latin Percussion LP720 djembe. Yes, the flesh hoop is indeed 14.5 inches, so that it fits the rim. The playing surface (bearing edge in) is the 12.5 inches required for the djembe. The skin is nice, and has a nice tone once properly mounted and tuned. If you are looking for a head for the LP720 djembe, this is it.

when you measured the 0art for the Ad and you measured 14 1/2" didnt that ra8se any 1uestioñs in your head that maybe this isn't for a12 1/2" drum ???? measure any mounted drumskin or drum head from inside the mounted ring edge to inside edge. inside edge of a tension, ring on a Djembe drum is where the ring the drum head fits into. Where the skin starts it's verticle rise to surface where played... sincerely hope you to send correct drum hea to me immediately. sincerely 49er_fan57.😇and you only get a one star if I get the the part you advertisedsed as advertised …
