These heads come in a small poster style tube wrapped in plastic wrap. I’ve used these a couple times with no problems. Heads seem to be good for reskinning hand drums

I should have believed the bad reviews. There are three places where the skin is paper thin, and it will not last under tension. AND it is not spine cut. They should send me another for a free replacement. Bummed out.

I had to re-head a bohdrum that someone gave to me after somebody went all “Hey, I’m Ginger Baker!” on it in my drum circle. (I started the Culver City Drum Circle many years ago!) I’ve re-headed several drums in my time, so while this was my first of this type, I just went for it. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and off I went. After preparing the hoop and fixing a minor issue with the planarity and profile of the rim, I soaked this skin in cold water for about 30 minutes, squeezing it repeatedly to speed the saturation. I used a staple gun and some woodworkers’ glue, and worked around the rim in a pattern to stretch it mildly. After trimming with scissors and tacking the grosgrain ribbon over the staples edge (staples about every inch) I brought it into the laundry room to dry. Next morning, it was done! Wow. So tight it rings! It went just perfectly. These skins are great!

Packaged okay. Wrapped in saran wrap. Very thin with translucent spots. Dont know how long that will last.

To the seller: Please be more specific about this product's description : buyers are not ordering 1 Lb. of skins here. I received two - 10" skins for this purchase. It would be super helpful to be really specific on how many skins are being purchased, as I thought I was ordering by weight. The quality is fairly low for this price point (which we expected): we are using these with young students, building ceramic drums at our studio. However, we're more disappointed in the amount we received for the price - as it is not clear in this ad. Thanks.
