About this item

  • See Part Number 6006 for 2-1/4" Pipe Flange; Mopar Exhaust Collector Gasket 2-1/2" Pipe, 2 Bolt Holes (One slotted) 3-29/32" Bolt Hole Spacing, 2/set
  • Heating and cooling of the exhaust system causes header and manifold flanges to warp resulting in gaps between the head and header which Remflex exhaust gaskets seal completely due to the thickness and compressibility of the 100 percent flexible graphite
  • Remflex exhaust gaskets come in a standard 1/8 inch thickness and are designed to crush 50 percent allowing them to fill any pits or gaps in the flange surface up to 1/16 inch
  • The aluminum cylinder head and steel header or manifold combination are configurations that readily cause gap issues in the mating flanges due to contraction and expansion of the dissimilar materials; Remflex exhaust gaskets fill those gaps permanently
  • There are no rubber binders or composite materials in Remflex exhaust gaskets so they will not shrink or harden due to time or temperature eliminating the need to go back and continually retighten your flange bolts

Remflex Exhaust Gaskets are soft and compressible so the suggested torque for each gasket, which is generally much lower than factory torque, is listed on the back of each package. Remflex is made in the USA so as to control every step of the manufacturing process guaranteeing a superior product that you can rely upon. Remflex's unique flexible graphite material has been proven for more than 30 years in industrial applications, where temperatures routinely exceed 2000 degrees-day after day, week after week, year after year. For over 10 years Remflex have been bringing this technology to automotive enthusiasts of all kinds to eliminate exhaust leaks for good. Experience has shown that no gasket should be reused if you want a reliable seal, therefore Remflex do not sell or market gaskets as reusable even though it have been told that they have been reused successfully in the past. Do not use sealants of any type with gaskets. The sealant burns out rapidly leaving a gap which creates an exhaust leak. Remflex Exhaust Gaskets are good to 3000 degrees which far exceeds the temperature rating of any sealant.

This gasket saved me a lot of headache on my recent exhaust project. My old beater Xterra 2010 with 200k miles on it had a primary cat fail and the rusted exhaust fought me hard. After putting everything back with the factory style gaskets I had three small exhaust leaks. I tried realignment, removed and verified more times than I’d care to admit and finally found these on a forum post. I used four of these on four different junctions and followed the tightening directions provided. 5k miles later, not a single leak.

After I installed Catless UEL headers on my toyota 86 the header didn't line up properly with the overpipe leaving a huge gap. These are large enough to fill the gap (about 1/4in or more) and have held up good for the past few days. I wasn't even able to properly torque them because lack of space and poor alignment and they sealed really well. Worth the money. Would purchase again and recommend to friends.

My exhaust started leaking between the midpipe and axel back and blew out the gasket. A new gasket didn't do anything except make the leak sound even worse. The Remflex gasket worked like a charm. I installed it, supported the flange, and tightened each side equally. You can see how much the top part crushed in despite the flanges being mostly flush to the gasket when I started tightening the bolts. I've only done a short test drive to confirm no more leaks, but it looks like it's working and it feels solid.

Ive used a lot of 2 bolt gaskets on many cars... Subaru STi's, nissan 300zx etc etc. Short of a MLS Stainless gasket $$$$ These are the next best bet. Sealed extremely well and are super thick. Great for the price and highly recommend.

Had a leaky exhaust, even after using original factory gaskets. Only thing that worked was Remflex gaskets. Great products.

Running headers on my 1971 AMC Javelin SST has always required me to constantly check my flanges for a leak due to blown out gaskets. I’ve used all types of gaskets, some better than others, and eventually all of them blew out. These gaskets right here have lasted longer then any other gasket I’ve used. They have been installed for a while now and have yet to leak. They may be a little bit more expensive then others but you get what you pay for. The best gaskets I’ve used in my experience.

I wish I had found this before wasting money on several different kinds of gaskets when trying to seal up an exhaust leak on an aftermarket exhuast. I tried OEM gaskets (rattled), gr1nspeed gasket (good but leaked eventually), generic ones from the parts store (blow out) and these ones worked the best. They are not joking on the packaging when they say to not bend them because I did not heed the warning and ruined one of the two that came with the purchase. These are defiantly not reusable after removing the exhaust so I'm going to order another set to have on hand if/when I need to remove the exhaust for servicing the car.

A collegue suggested this product once when I was in need of a gasket that could work for two mismatched pipe sizes on my vehicle. And so, the Remflex griphite gasket set made its way to my door. First off, This is one of THE BEST gaskets I have used on ANY exhaust couplings... while many gaskets are metal, they are not thick, so you tend to find that in some applications, it would not seal properly. Now, with this gasket, it is quite thick; so it tends to "crush" into a perfect fit. Also, the open end of this particular type aided greatly in adjusting it just before tightening down. That said, there is one thing, most important which you need to be aware of: It is QUITE fragile. Fragile enough that bending it ever so slighly can cause it to literally fall apart... not exactly something you wish happen to you after struggling with exhaust bolts and removing things etc. Also, this gasket would be more of a one use only, so removing it for any further jobs could result in it falling to pieces. So in short, have graceful hands and you will be rewarded with one of the best gaskets to ever be made.
