Remflex Exhaust Gaskets are soft and compressible so the suggested torque for each gasket, which is generally much lower than factory torque, is listed on the back of each package. Remflex is made in the USA so as to control every step of the manufacturing process guaranteeing a superior product that you can rely upon. Remflex's unique flexible graphite material has been proven for more than 30 years in industrial applications, where temperatures routinely exceed 2000 degrees-day after day, week after week, year after year. For over 10 years Remflex have been bringing this technology to automotive enthusiasts of all kinds to eliminate exhaust leaks for good. Experience has shown that no gasket should be reused if you want a reliable seal, therefore Remflex do not sell or market gaskets as reusable even though it have been told that they have been reused successfully in the past. Do not use sealants of any type with gaskets. The sealant burns out rapidly leaving a gap which creates an exhaust leak. Remflex Exhaust Gaskets are good to 3000 degrees which far exceeds the temperature rating of any sealant.

The 98 silverado is infamous for the gasket failing. This one compressed a bit and has held true ever since.

Ive tried every other gasket on the market and they couldnt seal my baddly rotted and warped flange. This did it with no sealer

This worked beautiful on my 1998 Silverado 5.7 exhaust. The thinner ones don't seal properly. Note: the recommended torque was 20 FT. LBS. and this wasn't quite enough to seal. Don't be afraid to go for a good snug fit if it isn't sealing completely.

Installed on a 1997 GMC Sierra K1500 5.7L with no issues. When I replaced my catalytic converters the regular OEM exhaust seal did not properly seal the connection as it was too thin. Just as described this exhaust seal replacement compressed and filled in all the gaps and sealed all the space with no exhaust leak whatsoever.

Replaced this gasket after seeing an exhaust leak on my 97 silverado. Torqued bolts to 20 ft lbs and started the truck. I thought it wasn't running it was that quiet. Great product for sealing the exhaust on your 5.7 v8.

Outstanding product, fit perfectly on my 1999 Chevy Tahoe 5.7 liter 6 door ( 4 door with the rear barn doors) fixed the issue where the two exhaust pipes were eating up the thin seal.
