Front mounted hitch receivers allow a variety of accessories to be mounted on the front of trucks, vans, or SUV’s to perform tasks that make outdoor adventures and activities easier and more fun. Accessories are easily interchanged, so the receiver is a practical and versatile addition to sporting and work vehicles. All front mount receivers have a 2” square receiver tube opening and all attachments are J-Pin ready. Front mounted receivers offer a secure and useful attachment point and offer 9000 lbs. of line pull and 500 lbs. vertical load. The METALSHIELD protective coating process is a three step finish consisting of a rust inhibiting primer, dipped E-coat electrostatic coating to insure total finish coverage and finally an outer powder coat finish for durability. The METALSHIELD process is an OEM compatible finish providing the best corrosion protection over brands that use only powder coat on their products. Install time is an estimated 25 minutes and requires a 3/4" wrench. Hitch crosstube concealed behind bumper.

Well made, bolt on quality hitch. This sits lower than other models but was chosen to fit my Daytona without trimming the grounds effect kit. Will be perfect for Rumble Bees and other applications utilizing front spoilers and trim. I’ve used it with an 8,500 lb winch with no issues. Does exactly what I need it to.

When I bought this, it wasn't clear if it required cutting out a notch in the air dam (on 2004 Dodge Ram 1500). It doesn't. That was a plus.I'm not a mechanic; don't even change my own oil. I watched a vid on YouTube, and it seemed doable. It was. Some challenges:1 - the included wire to pull the bolts through is _barely_ long enough for the front bolt hole. I just tied on some twine to give me more room to work with. Takes a bit to get the hang of it, but you can do it and pull the bolts through. Note on 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 (RWD), the holes were there/pre-drilled, and they fit this fine.2 - if you don't have a lift, it is pretty challenging to get it on. I think it's pretty much impossible to do that part yourself. My wife and daughter helped. I got in the middle and pushed up the bulk of the weight. They guided it onto the bolts and hand-tightened the nuts. You could probably do it with one other strong person. In any case, the 2004 Ram is low in the front, so there's not much room under there. Would be MUCH easier with a lift.3 - it calls for a torq wrench, 75lbs, as I recall. I don't have one. I just used a standard ratchet and tightened them as best I could. I figured I'd ask my mechanic to check the next time I get it in.That's the install. It'd probably take a trained mechanic with a lift and a helper like 30 min. Took me probably an hour or so.I mounted a SnowSport 180 plow on this, and it was okay. The prob is that it makes for very low clearance, maybe 6" on the Ram. I was scraping on my driveway. Just keep that in mind. Can probably get a lift kit/leveler to solve that problem, but of course that removes some of the "aggressive stance" of the lower-in-front look.

Great paint job, very sturdy! Easy DIY project. Just another great product from REESE and AMAZON. Purchased it (used) and saved more than half the price. It was new and the box had a rip in it so they called it used.
