This thing must have been designed on a truck with no bed. The lever arms that lock it in place are adjustable, which is good because it came with a HUGE amount of slop in the locking pins. However they swing through the area your hitch attaches so the hitch cannot be placed on the frame and then move it in and out as an assembly. You cannot swing them the other way as they hit the side of the bed. The lock pins at the center that lock the arms into place don't work as the frame is practically sitting on the floor of the bed, so the pins don't fit. There is a forward and back but that's not marked on the frame. It mentions in the instructions which end MUST be faced forward though. And, the frame appears to have a twist to it. So having to step on the corners to get it locked into place once the lock pins are properly adjusted.

My 2023 Ram 2500 came with factory 5th wheel setup, and this fit well. At first I thought it was too loose, but then realized I needed to install the puck covers first. The ring surround on the covers take up the slack and this unit then fit perfectly. Makes placing and removing my 5th wheel hitch a breeze if you have the muscle. It is solid and heavy.

Purchased this for my 2020 Ram 2500. Was a little leery due to some negative reviews, but I'm glad I purchased it. Yes, the box was a little beat up when I received it, but the rail adapter was fine. Yes, it is heavy, but considering that you're using it to tow a large trailer that is to be expected. Anyway, it dropped right into place and locked solid without so much as a tweak. I kept thinking "there's got to be more to it...this is too easy." But, to my joy and surprise it really was that easy. Great invention and price paid was considerably cheaper than anywhere else. Great buy!

The Adaptor fit into the pucks with a little adjustment to take out the wiggle. Now is nice and solid. The Hitch fit into the Adaptor nice and tight. Actually fit better than it did in my old rail system on my other truck. Cannot wait to try towing with this setup when the weather gets warm again.Item was shipped and I received an empty box. Appears lost during the shipping. I called the vendor and they had another on the way instantly. Good to see that a vendor is taking care of the customer. Would buy from this vendor again.

Let me start by saying I am an ASE master certified automotive technician. I haven’t been in the business for 20 years. If you buy this adapter you will say more cuss words then you have in your entire life!! Spend the extra money and buy a puck system complete hitch sell your existing hitch on Facebook whatever you have to do! DO NOT BUY THIS ADAPTER!!! You will need to go to church for the next two year worth of Sundays to make up for the cussing that you will do. If u do buy don’t say I didn’t warn you!!!!!

This is a great system saving the cost and hassle of drilling through your truck bed. The Reese kit fit well after adjusting the T-Pins to tighten them up. This system is great for those who need a truck to haul a 5th wheel or gooseneck as well as having a flat bed floor in a matter of minutes. My 20K Reese 5th fit right into this adaptor and feels very secure pulling a 14K lb camper without a lot of rattling and banging while under tow. The only down side is the price for this convenience, this item could make Reese profit at less cost to consumer. Amazon does have it at same cost offered by manufacturer and much less than Chrysler / Ram dealer.

This worked great and I like it much better than the permanent rails we had in our previous truck. Being able to remove the entire system and simply replace the plugs in the bed is so awesome. I installed and adjusted it by myself. It took me a while in the beating sun, much longer than I had expected, but I eventually got it adjusted so that if fits very snug. I would suggest getting someone to help or at least get under a shade tree.

This is just what I needed for my 2016 ram mega cab... it's perfect... works great... it does take some time to get it adjusted to your truck so there is no slack in the pucks when locked in.. once you get the cotter pins (one on each side) out its very easy to adjust.there will be a tiny bit of slack but nothing over 1/4inch...love it...it's says made by draw- tite but it's a reese.. can be set in by one person but 2 works better.it also adds about 2 to 3 in. Onto the height of your hitch so you might have to adjust the fifthwheel hitch height pins... hint**the reese sticker faces to rear (tailgate end) I guess I does make a diffrence which I don't know...
