The 7’ 3wt butter stick has easily become of my favorites, if not my favorite rod. It is accurate, the build quality is there, and it’s so fun to fish. It pairs perfectly with a battenkill 1 + SA creek line. While it’s my go to for blue lining, I’ve used it on larger creeks and landed some decent sized fish with it

Rod looked totally fine gavent tried yet, but the rod tube case, was missing a plastic end cap, and had dirty marks all over it

The one issue is how the reel holder assembly was constructed. It spins from the top vs from the bottom. After a few casts, it loosens up and you have tighten it, again and again.Perhaps some teflon tape could assist.

Love the stick. Taking Grayling in Alaska. Not a giant fish but with the fiberglass butter stick it’s like taking a decent laker. Worth the price and durability is legit. You’ve got to load the rod a bit more than a carbon but love it. 10/10 would recommend

I like the action, it's fiberglass which is much more enjoyable to fish than graphite for me, but the guides don't line up at all with the little dots on each section, and a few guides don't line up even within the same section. They're wonky as hell. Everything else is OK quality and build wise. I would return it if I wasn't leaving on a trip tomorrow morning.

So I was nervous looking at these comments, but let me tell you…. This is my FAVORITE rod, super easy to cast, and super accurate. Yes it is flimsy but it’s a 3wt glass rod. It made catching these little guys super fun. I caught a 12 inch trout on it too, and it was easy to bring in.I have the 3 Wt butter stick2/3 Wt redington zero (click drag because it just needs to hold your line)And 3 wt rio light line WF
