RV plumbing vents are a vital part of the RV plumbing system. They allow the gasses from the holding tank to exit above the RV, keeping the odors and gasses away from the living area. This means less smell and less risk of those gasses getting into your lungs. And while these vents are often not noticed or are completely forgotten, it's a good idea to check to see whether they are still in good condition regularly. If your old vent is damaged, you could end up with unpleasant smells and gasses in your living compartment, which is not only uncomfortable but is unhealthy as well, as those gasses are really not meant to be inhaled like that. So, if you are designing your own layout or are fixing a broken model, you'll be needing a new plumbing vent.

Features

fan

Fan Ran

This plumbing vent model isn't just any vent, though. This model includes a fan, which would normally mean it requires some kind of complicated wiring setup. But that's not the case, as this model comes with something that means energy savings, sustainability, and ease.

Solar Powered

Solar Powered

It's got solar power. Yes, at the top of this RV plumbing vent is a solar panel board, which powers the fan, making the vent more efficient in getting the odors out but in powering itself as well.

easy install

Easy Install

The silent and reliable ventilation is easily installed and includes the screws for the job. This unit is a universal design for most RV plumbing caps.

I put this solar vent fan on the front top of this west-facing storage shed in the picture. This morning at 9:30, with the sun behind clouds and over to the south east of the sky, the solar fan was spinning like a champ - without any direct sunlight on it. I’m not sure why other reviewers are saying it only works in direct sunlight; absolutely not my experience. I sealed up all the openings on this shed and then cut two 4x4” ports on the bottom back wall of the shed, which I covered with fine mesh screen. The vent fan is completely venting the air in the shed. Very good product.

Worked great for about a week. After it quit working I removed it and found the fan blade had slid down the motor shaft and jammed against the vent pipe, I pushed it back on and it slid back down a day or 2 later. The fan blade will not stay in position on the motor shaft.

These are a must to pull away the smell from the holding tanks on any RV. We have installed on both a Class C and a 5th wheel. They have a tiny solar powered fan that runs rather than the caps the factory usually installs. The fan aides in pulling that rancid air out of your system and away from the home on wheels.

This works great during the day with sunlight. Doesn’t work without sunlight.I wish it had batteries to charge up for nighttime use.The installation was easy. Removing the old dicor was the hardest part. Super quite.

Works as advertised, no issues. This does not move much air but it did drop my trailers interior temp 2 to 3 degrees, so for me it works as expected, and advertised.

I put these on my sheds, and they work really well, I do need to add 1 more on each shed in the middle to make it better but with the one on each it has pulled the heat down in them about 15 degrees so I'm going to add a second one to each in the middle.
