Very easy to install over a Maxxair fan. Keeps the sun out and my Maxxair fan will now stay open when it rains. Keeps the van darker in the early morning. A nice addition.

Product was as described. Installation was pretty straight forward. I like the sleek design vs the max maxx air 2 and the ability to open the vent further since it's just a little taller than the maxxair2.I have the cheap fan that came with my trailer so I had to opt for the bracket install. I rushed thru it and noticed later that it would have been easier to align the cover if I had followed the directions.My only complaint is that there is no clear information on how the clips face. On the right side they go on snug from front to back once engaged there fit very well against the cover, the left side clips need to be installed from back to front to achieve the same results. Looking at different images and videos people seem to have placed them in either direction and they hold. Maybe it's just me being picky.Unfortunately it didn't come with a bug screen ( sold separately). But I knew that before purchase.Can't wait 2 more weeks to my trailer out to test it. I hope it doesn't fall off during transit lol.***update. I took the vent off to add the screen and while at it, I bent 2 of the clip the other direction installed all of them from front to back and now all 4 clips rest against the vent. Problem solved...

The Maxxair Fanmate was extremely easy to install to the existing vents with the EZ Clips - simply align the tabs and insert the EZ Clips. The vent covers not only look good, they allow vent use while raining. We were caught in a surprise hail storm in South Dakota and the vent covers took the hail without any mishap but there were many campers around us without the vent covers that had hail stones rip shatter their vents. They ended up with a very wet experience. The Maxxair covers was one of my first add-on purchases for the new camper.

I bought three black vent covers which were nicely made and easy to install. They will allow me to open my vents while keeping rain and sunlight out. Smart looking as well as durable and reasonably priced.

I ordered 2 of these, 2 arrived, all good...until I opened the box and realized that there was no hardware."Fanmate Cover with EZ Clip Hardware"Contacted amazon via chat, and one of the Representatives that I spoke with told me to ship back, re-order. Another Rep offered 20% discount. The third Rep said there's nothing they can do, just ship it back for a refund. A long, painful 2 hour conversation. "Why would I ship this huge box back(it was a very big box, 2 covers in it), when the actual product is good, it's just missing the hardware?"Contacted the seller, they sent me the hardware, all good.Amazon's fault or the Sellers fault?

I bought two of these hoping to cover both MaxxAir roof fans on my Ember 26RB. The bathroom is a manual open cap. This vent cover installed stupid easy with no tools needed! Literally about a minute and done. It's secure and works great! Moving to the autoclose cap (with rain sensor) and I found the Vent cover installs fine! But the auto open and close feature on the cap, opens too high for the vent cover. I didn't see a way to adjust, so I had to return one for that reason. I was a little disappointed but the auto open/close system does have a rain sensor. Most important was the ability to open and use the bathroom fan in any weather. That Achievement is unlocked! :) For a bit more peace of mind I purchased the bug screen as well. That snapped in easy enough and seems secure for now. I hope to keep any flying critters from building a "mobile" home on my mobile home!

Very easy to install, I installed this on a Maxair fan, it only required 4 pins to go through the mounting system on the fan. It doesn't allow the fan lid to open fully (it does open around ⅔ to ¾ which is fine), but it does allow you to leave the fan lid open without having to worry about rain. I installed another Maxair vent cover on a non maxair vent and instalation was pretty simple, just drill 4 small holes on the vertical edge and bolt on the hardware. They are also easy to remove simply by pulling out the 4 pins, they will come off for whatever reason you want. I also like the protection this gives against hail, I've seen vent lids destroyed by hail then rain soaks the inside of the R.V.

This vent cover provides protection against hail and destructive UV rays from the sun. I was able to install it in about two minutes using the pins provided as they fit nicely into the slots on the fan vent housing. The electrically operated roof vent can open fully with the cover installed. Additionally, the vent can now be utilized in light to moderate rain if required.

I bought this as an upgrade over my old Maxxair type 1 cover over the standard RV manufacturers fan and vent when I upgraded that fan.The cover is well made, fits well and is very easy to fit over a Maxxair fan as they have matching lugs to clip onto - the most difficult bit about that installation is climbing the ladder to do it. If you don't have a Maxxair fan, you will need to use all the brackets they supply, which again is an easy job, and they supply all fixings in aluminium and stainless steel. It might take you and hour if you have to use the fitting kit, otherwise, it takes longer to find the ladder!This expensive piece of odd shaped plastic is designed to allow you to leave the vent open in the rain and while travelling. I have no doubt it will be good for that. My reason for the low stars is that for your $100, they don't even include a bug screen! I have never, ever camped anywhere that didn't require a bug screen. To find that piece is extra after it arrived was more than a little annoying. For that privilege they would like another $32.44.So, after spending nearly $300 on a new fan that you cannot fit the old cover over, then waiting for an extra week for the new cover to be delivered, then finding you need a bug screen, seriously consider the next model up with the cover and the bug screen and the remote control fitted in the box - I thought that remote control would be a bit of a waste but now I've fitted it, got annoyed by it, struggled to reach the non-remote controls because I'm a short-arse, and reviewed the price of the next model up, that extra $75 is well worth it.Amazon took a full 7 days longer than initially promised to ship this item - I'm not surprised as they were stupidly ambitious with their get it by date through Prime, but fortunately that didn't matter, just another little peave.
