This Camco roof vent cover is much sturdier than the previous brand I had installed and it is designed with a removable vent that can be cleaned. Easy to install with minimal work, I'm pretty happy.

RV vent Covers can be very expensive to repair. When damaged by weather, they can also allow water and critters into your unattended RV and that can be extremely costly to take care of. These will fit over most power vents. My Fantastic Fan vents DO hit the bottom side of these covers, but we found that the vent motor and mechanism have a strain function that stops the motor when it encounters resistance. So while your FantasticFan will open maybe 1 inch less, it will still be covered.Installation was not too difficult. I found that the brackets actually aligned with the screws used to install the fantastic fan itself - so I dug out the Lap sealant, removed the screws, put the Camco XLT brackets down, reinstalled the screws and then applied more Lap Sealant.These are slightly less than 10” tall.

Had a bad one on my camper. Took old one off. This was a direct fit. No drilling. Just unbolted the old one and slapped on the new one. Help up good so far

I put in a Rvlovent fan or Fanstic Fan and needed a bigger vent cover to work with the new Fanstic fan. This on is 10.5 inches high and worked great! It doesn't go all the way up but these fan are made to stop when they hit the top vent cover and doesn't hurt it. The vent cover is high enough to let air flow come in and also protect the vent lid on top of the fan. We leave our RV in storage in Florida for the summer and didn't want a hail storm to break the vent lid and let water all over our floor and ruin the floor by the time we return in winter as a snowbird.

I recently had to replace the vent covers for my utility trailer...again! The vents I had open up to let air in, and were an somewhat opaque white plastic. I have had to replace them twice in the last 3 years. Recently, I drove my trailer and by the time I had reached my destination (just a few miles), those old vent white covers had disintegrated...again. So I went with these grey vent covers, which cover the entire vent hole opening and then some. They have UV protection so I'm hoping they last, as this is an outdoor trailer that sits or moves in the sun and weather all the time, including harsh Lake Michigan winters. The installation was easy, however the only hard part was up and down the ladder several times carrying the tools and covers. I would recommend a partner for this. They look absolutely amazing! And if you don't want the logo on them, you can just peal it off. I did have one issue, and that was the hardware was missing on one of the covers... I think this was just an Amazon issue, so I didn't lower my rating because of this. Amazon said they couldn't just send me the hardware----I had to send them cover missing the hardware, and they would send me a replacement. Trouble was that the replacement wouldn't come for another 2 days, and we were having thunderstorms here. So that kind of sucked. But all well that ends well, and hopefully this will, as I'm hoping I get more years out of these, then he crappy ones I had before. Oh, and I have no leaking, even though I only have these covering the vent holes on my trailer. Cheers!

I purchased one of these for each of my three RV roof vents and am very pleased with each one. It's been five months since I installed them and they're showing no signs of wear, despite some rainy, windy, freezing, snowy weather. They function very well, letting in no-to-harmless traces of water even with the vent lid cranked fully open. I chose this kind over the Camco 40431 and Maxxair models because I heard that, concordant with the company's claims, they do in fact let more air in than the others. While I can't testify to that (this is the only kind I've tried), they let in enough air to satisfy me, considering I could now leave my laptop under an open vent during a thunderstorm if I felt like it. They were very easy to install. If you can put IKEA furniture together you're smart enough to follow the included instructions. I docked a point for two reasons: (1) a missing hex nut in one of the packages, (2) an issue with the seating. The cover comes in two plastic parts: the bottom one is bolted onto the RV, and the top one "clips" onto the bottom part, and then gets secured with two screws. The first two vents I installed were fine, but the third one's top-part wasn't matching up with the bottom-part either because the plastic was being strained from a poor fit, or because the holes were too small for the screws. I eventually got it on by pushing the screws in very hard with a screwdriver while pinching the top and bottom parts together with the other hand, being very careful not to crack the plastic. If you have the same problem, I wouldn't recommend trying to drill the holes larger, as you'd likely make them too large for a secure fit (remember you'll be flying down the freeway at 60 mph with this thing). Just take your time carefully screwing it in by hand. It wasn't a huge problem, but the company does claim that these vents are easy to clean because of the accessibility that the removable top-part gives. However, because of this defect, I'm not planning to fiddle with it any time soon, no matter how dirty it gets. I think this is overall a great product and the issue doesn't detract enough for me not to enthusiastically recommend it because truthfully, I probably wouldn't have cleaned it anyway and neither would you.

I installed 2 of these Camco 40421 Aero-Flo vent covers on our new travel trailer. Took less than 15 minutes per cover to install, even including the time to set up and position the ladder. Would have been even easier if my trailer had a walkable roof (ours is aluminum, so I had to set planks acros from edge to edge to support my weight while I worked).The covers themselves seem sturdy enough; certainly have had no problems with wind at highway speeds or rain storms, etc. The weather stays outside where it's supposed to be and we get to enjoy the added airflow through the trailer!The bonus for me was that I got them on a super sale - less than $17 each! I bought 3 to get free shipping. Even then I paid paid the equivalent of buying ONE vent cover from my local RV shop.If I whack one of these on a tree branch or one fails for another reason, I would buy again, especially at the price I got them for. Very pleased.
