So unit has a brown wire coming out of it in addition to all the other wires talk about every instruction sheet.Nobody knows what the brown wire isforI have no idea how to hook it upIt is not mentioned in the instructions.It might be for 12 volts positive, but nobody knows.For that reason I will have to return itYou can ground that wire, it's connected to the shield of the RCA connectors to prevent EMI.I had to use a resistor series with the input to the modules with my car because the module got too hot and resistor was 1K ohm.Increase the rating on this because I got to work, it works very well.

Remote turn on is unreliable. Get yourself a 12V source that comes on with ignition. Was bummed that it didn’t work.

Line output converters are basic devices, there’s not a lot to make them stand out. This one is small (great for putting behind the radio) is well made, feels like a quality unit. Wires are plenty long enough and it generates a remote turn on signal. Sounds good, works good, good price.

The RCA converter is still functional, however the auto remote hasn't worked sense day 1. That's really the main feature on this and I had to bypass it.

We have been planning to install a sub in a '19 F150 for a couple years now but didnt want to mess with the factory system or make too much mess with wiring, and definitely didnt want to fuss with replacing the already-nice stock radio. This effectively solves all of those concerns, in a very very small package. I cant compare the quality to other LOCs since the only other one I have used in the L2Ci which is obviously in a totally different league.

This is probably the smallest LOC I’ve seen that also includes a remote power on wire.Two pairs of wires are used for the speaker level inputs, a ground wire goes to the chassis, and a blue wire goes to your amp turn on/relay. When the speakers are playing audio, this device sends the signal for your amp to turn on, which makes it super easy when connecting to a factory stereo. Many modern cars no longer have switched power sources, as many use CANbus to turn on the car’s devices. This device helps solve this problem, without having to run a bunch of additional wiring. Simply connect this near the factory amplifier or behind the stereo and off you go!
