I put these on my Toro tiller last spring. Suggestion prior to replacing the old tines take a picture of what direction the tines are facing. Used the tiller this summer in garden and the tines held up good, no noticeable wear other than the paint rubbing off. I did have to tweak the holes slightly in order for the bolts to go through but simple fix with a drill press (or I guess you could even use a hand drill).

I have what I think is an early 80's Troy-Bilt Horse. I bought these, they worked after about an hour to hour and a half of grinding. I was not going for any speed records. I could have saved a few bucks and got the cheaper ones that needed grinding to fit. They say "Reliable Aftermarket Parts Our Name Says It All". I guess, but I would like if the parts fit without requiring a grinder. I didn't see any reviews that said these needed grinding. On the older Horse model plan on it.

Made in India, comes with more than enough hardware to install. Sizing seems a bit variable, but work great.Installed on Troy Built Super Bronco III didn't realize just how roached my old tines had become. I knew they were getting bad, but I was surprised just how bad. a couple of these are just a tiny bit longer than the rest (1/2"ish) They are well hardened, properly forged, and have the holes in the right spots.I was a bit skeptical of the possible weakness from the 3rd hole (unused in my install). I have turned a rather rocky bit of land into plantable garden. Repeatedly hit rocks the size of a softball, and had to reverse to get them out of the tiller, but none of these tines failed. I was very surprised to find none broken, I have had trouble with real MTD OEM tines snapping off with much less abuse. I soon realized my old brigs motor had gotten way too weak, and ended up changing to one of HF's predator 6.5 hp engines (a great motor for the money, by the way, another big surprise for me). New motor, and new tines! This is how I remember it working the day i first got it! Very happy with my red-faded-to-pink tiller again. If you need a set of CRT tines for a super bronco, here you go, these are the ones you are looking for! great product, many thanks to the seller.

So first off, yes, the other reviews are correct in saying they don't fit perfectly straight from the factory. Second, you don't need to drill out or ream the bolt holes in the blades, but you will need to do some grinding to make them fit correctly. The easiest way to do this, is to bolt the new blades onto the old blades. You'll see in my pictures that the problem doesn't lie with improper bolt hole placement from the factory, but rather the curve of the blade itself. I found that on some of the blades, there was up to 1/8" that needed to be grinded down to match. Otherwise, when you try to mount the blades straight from the package, they don't sit properly in the grooves.Once you grind them down and seat them in the grooves, the very last bolt hole on the fourth blade, you will need to use a screwdriver or the like to slightly pry and align it. If you still cannot get the bolt in with some effort, go back and grind some more. **Do not hammer the bolts in, they are not high grade, and you will strip the threads. I also had one of the nuts crack because I over-tightened**Other than the install, the blades look solid. I will add an update after I till my garden, but I'm sure they will work just fine. Hope this helped!

Other than having to grind the tines for clearance on the hub installation was easy. Tines fluff the ground up much better than my worn out tines. My garden is heavier (clay) ground with some larger rocks. To date I have not broke or bent any tines. With my ground that was a major concern after reading other reviews. 5 stars so far

Bought these for my 1985 Troy horse and are they truly superb performing tines. Thes tines fluff up the soil deep to its lowest setting like powder. I dont ever recall the tines on the Horse ever tilling the way these do. They are fabulous. A couple of fits were snug but grinding them down a smidge made everything fit fine. You walk on your tilled soil and you leave footprints 4 inches deep. I strongly recommend them as their performance continually amazes me.

I have a mid 70s TB Horse. These times fit perfectly. I did have to take my time as it was like putting together a puzzle. I did take a picture of the orientation of the originals which helped. The new tines did a great job busting up a new garden spot.I too received lots of extra nuts, bolts and washers.

I wish I listened to other reviews. These did not fit. Had to ream out the holes like other people mentioned. Ruined a step bit in the process and took a lot of time. In the end, I would have saved money getting a set that were to specifications.
