The price was right because it would have cost us more to rent a roller, but we wondered if this one would be too small for compacting the soil over a newly seeded pasture. No problem. It worked just fine behind our Polaris. Best of all, the freshly compacted soil kept the wind from blowing our seed away and it kept the birds from pillaging what we had just sown. The seed is now starting to germinate so we are happy with our purchase.

Step 1... throw away the instructions. Step 2...go to their web site. Video made much more sense when I knew what length of bolts to use where. Was easy to put together. Easy to fill. Man, that roller is heavy. Yes, that's a good thing. Seems to work good for the price. Use after a rain for best results. I can tell a difference in the lawn just after one time. Box was flimsy. Only thing missing was one bolt. No big deal.

The roller was deformed due to pressure inside the roller. I assume it was sent from a lower altitude and here (Denver) caused this air pressure. Suggest the plug not be installed when shipped due to the different altitude,

Easy to assemble and does a great job - I use it to roll a football pitch towed by a Mountfield ride on - only half filled with water as ride on may struggle to pull if full
