I am very impressed with the RAINPOINT Sprinkler Timer with the brass fittings. The unit is very solid and does not leak. If you follow the instructions on the box to activate the valve prior to using, the unit will work flawlessly. I don't have great water pressure at my house, so I have two timers staggered so that each sprinkler system gets full pressure. the first comes on at 8 AM for thirty minutes, then the second kicks on at 8:30 for 30 minutes. These timers allowed me to travel and save a large investment in new sod. I know that every morning my sod will be watered while I'm gone so I don't have to worry about it.

I had an earlier model, one with plastic fittings, for several years and it worked well. The new one has brass fittings and that makes it easier to attach and tighten.

I recently purchased this Rainpoint timer and am very pleased with its quality and ease of use. It is very easy to program and to adjust if need be and I like the fact that it has brass inlet and outlet fittings. Overall, a quality product that works well. Great value!

This timer is very solid. Makes firm and leak free connections with spigots and hoses. It even comes with extra washers and some plumbers tape just in case there are any issues. The thing I like best though is how easy it is to program. Just click each step on the dial and enter the information using the intuitive =/- buttons until it is all set. Reliably starts and stops as programmed. I would buy it again... in fact I did!

The programable timer is excellent. It is very easy to program, if functions exactly as intended, doesn't induce water hammer and it is relatively compact. While time will tell, the case looks to be water tight and robust.I would have given the product 5 stars except that I haven't been able to eliminate a persistent drip between the inlet fitting and the house tap. I've tried various gaskets, filed the house tap outlet flat to ensure the gasket has a good sealing surface, and applied a variety of tightening techniques but I can't seem to eliminate the slow leak. I will continue to look for ways to eliminate the leak and will report back on reliability of the unit after a season of use.

Used to water patio plants while away for several weeks. Programming was straight forward. Tan it about a week before leaving and adjusted watering times as needed. Worked well. Seems well made. Looking forward to using it again.

Had to replace our previous watering timer, which was setting off a lot of noise in our pipes when it would trigger off, and ultimately stopped working altogether. This new one runs much more quietly, and - paired with a water hammer arrestor (for a washing machine) - doesn't cause any issues with our pipes anymore. The design is also much smaller than our previous timer. Initially had a problem with water leakage, but I think it was just an issue with the included washer; replacing the washer with one from the hardware store fixed the issue and allowed me to tighten the connection more snugly. Have only had it for a week, so will have to update after a few months, but so far works great!
