The rain gauge worked great, until it got cold. Advertised as freeze proof, which it absolutely is not. Disappointed that it is now junk. Will not recommend or purchase again.

Not freeze proof. Lasted about a year and a half before cracking. Used in a southern city that sees 50 days below freezing each year. Liked the gauge otherwise. Stand was sturdy and did not rust.

Easy to set up and read rain gauge. I bought 5 for Christmas gifts for my sons and decided to get one for myself! Glad I did.

The gauge took only a minute to install, the numbers are nice and large, and I can get a general idea of the rainfall level from inside the house, through the window. To read it accurately, I go out, lift out the glass tube, and read it at eye level. The tube slides in and out easily.

I had purchased a bare root tree and needed to monitor how much water the tree received each week from the rain, so that I would know how much water it needed. The metal pole is easy to insert in the ground and the numbers on the gauge are also easy to read. The devise has worked perfectly— and it even looks nice in my garden. That’s a bonus, not an important one in this case but still a bonus.
