- #42 in Rain Gauges
Maintain a healthy lawn and garden by tracking rainfall to avoid over or under-watering with Taylor’s ClearVu Rain Gauge. This durable rain gauge can measure up to 6 inches of rainfall, which is ideal for home gardening and water conservation. It features 1/10 inch measurement increments and is easy to read. The weather-resistant construction is durable and can withstand outdoor elements. Do not allow water to freeze in the rain gauge. Install on a post using two screws and attach to holes provided in the mounting bracket. For ground installation, insert the pointed end into the ground to the level of the rain gauge base. For the most accurate results, mount away from tall buildings and trees.

this rain gauge is easy to read and seemly accurate unless your pranking neighbor comes over and adds water to your gauge;-). I left my old gauge which was actually the same type of gauge and it froze and cracked so this is an exact replacement.

I wanted a rain gauge but hated the colorful plastic ones at the hardware store that seem so popular. Of course places like Anthropologie and Pottery Barn had gorgeous ones, but I couldn’t justify spending $60+ on a rain gauge. This one is super pretty but affordable. Stuck it in the ground and let it do its thing. So far no rain, so unsure about durability and functionality, but it seems to be good quality. I did accidentally drop the glass part (it comes separate from the base) when I slipped on our hardwood floors and no cracks or breakage occurred, so seems durable!

I liked the simplicity of the design, which probably is as accurate as can be, but only a relatively small part of the scale shows rainfall of less than 2", making smaller amounts of rainfall hard to read from a distance. While extreme rainfall of up to 6" is interesting to note, I bought a rain gauge so I could judge if my plants need watering thus easy reading at less than 2" is important to me.

Fairly large recipient for more accuracy, easy to install. Good price.

This is plastic so will not shatter in the garden. However, it will crack if full and freezes, as I found out. So best put in away for the colder months. It also will fade in the sun. But easy to read from across the yard, reasonably accurate and moveable.

Good quality construction and great in appearance. I am questioning it's accuracy as measured against my my old rain gauge. Not sure which one is right but on the first rain fall the old one measured 3/4" and the Taylor Precision read 1/2". Go figure. I have 3 more to compare with at a later rain.......turned out to be unreliable for measuring rain, and was returned.
