Good idea and long overdue. Might have made my classes more useful to my students because my whiteboard skills are notoriously bad. Now that I am semi-retired from teaching, I will be using this tool to help lay out my artwork. I have often used a plain yardstick taped to the desk to draw arcs on canvas panels - kludgy. Now I can do it better and easier. Big compass is for more than whiteboard.
