Installing 1,800 sq ft of 5" unfinished white oak, glue assisted. It's been an unenjoyable experience, but I will say this little jack is a MUST buy for the project. If you are doing one room, I don't think I would bother, but if its a sizeable job and you're working alone, even just 2 or 3 rooms, I'd go for it...well worth the money!

As a weekend warrior, I have done about 10 Hardwood flooring projects over the years. I would use Pry bars and clamps. It did the job but a lot of time used setting up and not really as effective as this jack. Some people say that the gear ratio is too great not allowing you to get the wood tight. I used shims to close the gap. Also I put duct tape on the bottom ( see photo ) to protect the floor. Highly recommended and the price is good. I see most other brands of the same quality selling for $150 and up.

It's just what you need, but be careful. It can do a lot more than you think

I recently installed over 1700 sq feet of solid maple hardwood floors in my house. My first time doing this. Needless to say, anyone installing plank floors should get this item. It helps with pushing the planks into place when you get close to the wall and need leverage. It also helps with those planks that are stubborn and don't want to hold their place in the tongue or groove. When the professionals came in to sand and stain, they thought I had hired a pro to install. Seamless, no gaps because of this tool. I would buy this again tomorrow.

This is the third floor jack I have bought. The first two has a wrench to turn a screw to adjust the pressure. Both failed after the first use. This floor jack worked faultlessly. It was easier to apply and release the pressure on the floor.I can only recommend it to you.

Two floor jacks work well together when working by yourself installing a solid wood (red oak 3 1/2 in) floor. Screw a long 2x4 to the floor an appropriate distance from where you’re working and use a 4x4 as a spacer, with two screws to keep Jack from slipping up. Tightens boards nicely, allowing you to use floor nailer. Recommend buying the set of two jacks. Work saver. The green underpayment is Ultra Seal floor muffler that’s easy to use and quiets floor.Overall, very happy with purchase and price.

Was installing hardwood for the first time and it was very tricky to get the last few rows seated correctly. Until I bought this and it made it much easier. It's very strong and I had no issues with use. In some cases, I could have used two at a time but made out ok with one.

We purchased cabin grade flooring and some flooring needed a little extra push to line up with the board before it. This worked like a charm and saved our sanity!

tackled my first d.i.y. hardwood floor job. The pros on YouTube suggested using one. It was helpful, but If I bought one again I'd look for one with a fine tooth ratchet. While compressing the wood planks together, if I could have only gotten a couple more clicks, I could have made tighter joints.

These tools are a must for hardwood flooring. The only thing I’ll say is make sure when using them against the wall that you put a large block of wood to dissipate the pressure against the drywall, otherwise you can damage the drywall.
