The product stopped water from entering my garage when it rains heavy. I placeed it in front of the garage door for the inside and water was not able to enter my garage. Great product!!

Below is from company website FAQ. 3 star since it cannot be reused.Can I reuse them?Once the gel gets wet & activated, they will provide ongoing protection for weeks to months depending on the environment. They are not designed to be dried, put away & reused.They seem to shrink. Is that normal?Yes, as the water evaporates, they will get smaller. Over several weeks without exposure towater, Quick Dams will shrink & become crunchy. Once re-exposed to water, they will absorb & swell again.

fills nicely with water once the rain falls steady. but...i cannot have silica being released as i have a lot of animals in an around the house. lost a star b/c i have stray and feral cats as well as bunnies and racoon and even opossum that come around the house. otherwise, i fully expect this will hep redirect water that is currently coming into my mums Taerntum home basement. but it comes at a cost.

This really works to control basement flooding. No more wet rugs, etc. Highly recommend.

I got the twin pack of two 5' bags but they worked very well. In the photo, the water puddles were from gaps further to the right; the bag I put down soaked up ALL the rain water coming in from the left gap at the door. I placed the other 5ft bag on the outside and it's MUCH bigger, soaking up quite a lot of water there, as well. This is a problem spot but one that can be remedied by getting a full 10ft bag for the outside, then using these two 5ft bags along the inside. The rain these soaked up was pretty heavy for about 3 hours or so, so they definitely did a great job. I'm about to order the 10ft bag for the outside... :)

My den is a closed in carport, a previous owners shoddy work. It is at ground level and I live in Louisiana, we have a high water table , lots of rain and hurricanes. Yesterday was Hurricane Francine, I expected that room to flood , it’s never more than 4 inches. I ordered Quick Dam on Monday, it arrived before the Hurricane. It works! I pre-wet it in the rain water. It took less than a minute for it to activate, moved it in place and this product absorbed and blocked the water from coming in through the French doors. GREAT PRODUCT!!

Zum Glück seither kein Hochwasser mehr.Liegt im Keller und beruhigt meine Nerven. Aus psychologischen Gründen darum erstmal 5 Sterne.

I first heard about Hurricane/ Tropical Storm Helene coming to our area Wednesday morning and Ordered the Quick Dam Water Barrier. I just went ahead and ordered it even though it was stated that delivery would not take place until Saturday. I was going to have faith and I was actually feeling a little desperate. We needed to use the Quick Dam in front of our basement door to keep the water out. The forecast was an unprecedented 5 to 10 inches of rain in a 72 hour period. Somehow, I am not sure how they did it, Amazon was able to deliver the Quick Dam when we needed it most and that was Thursday evening just before the tropical storm would hit our area!! It had already been raining because of another weather phenomena (a cold front coming in). That Thursday night, it rained and rained and it continued into Friday.That Thursday night/ early Friday morning we had rain on our porch but the Quick Dam did its job and kept the water out of our basement. By Friday afternoon, the water on the porch receded. The Quick Dam gave our drainage system time to catch up and move the water away from our porch and our basement door.I don't write many reviews but I had to write this one to say: Thank-you.

It soaked up so much rain fall. No leaking into basement suite this year! Takes a long time to dry, a week. But once dried, I folded it & brought it back inside for the next torrential rain!

These things are awesome. They just expand with the water and direct water away from the front door. No more puddles or overflow near the door.

Pros:Works as described.Absorbs water well.Stopped the flow of water into the house.Cons:Took a month to dry out.Did not absorb the water the second time around.Summary:Very expensive single use water control device.

En mi caso no es para evitar un gran caudal, solo lo que pega en la puerta y se comienza a meter por debajo de ella y funciona espectacular. la primera vez la puse por fuera pero absorbió una gran cantidad de agua que como comentaba en mi caso, no tiene razón de ser. La deje en el sol y en un par de días se había deshidratado, lo comento porque cada vez que se expande pierde contenido si quieres que te dure mas no la pises no la muevas tanto.
